I signed up to T-Mobile UK nearly a year ago to get the 7100t. Problems straight from the beginning. Bad connectivity, bad connection, people couldn't hear me properly. The best to come. Travelling outside the UK I never got a connection. Tons of calls to CS, but no solutions besides taking out the simcard, cleaning it and putting it back. Finally a couple of weeks a called again and was informed that they now had discovered that this model does not support connectivity outside of the UK. Can you believe this. They are selling a phone which does not work internationally. Compensation? Nill. This Blackberry model is completely crap and T-Mobiles CS as well.

hey everybody
im from Colombia, here in South America and in my country blackberries arent as popular as in the north. Comcel, one of the biggest carriers here is selling them, but they r way too expensive, around 700 dollars for a new one, so i decided to buy a 7100t from a guy who brought it from the US, t-mobile. When i got the phone i unpacked it, and connected the charger... after 3 days of attempts to make the battery work i decided to take it to techincal service, they told me the inside of the phone is ok and they r testing the battery now. The mic doesnt work, i have to yell for people to listen to me, thats pathetic, i also told the guy in the store to fix this, hope he comes out with a solution because i paid lot of money for this phone, and it doesnt even work!! i mean, i havent even been able to test its messaging capabilities because it just doesnt power on!.. very bad phone, DONT BUY IT! i wish i had read this review before getting it :(

after reading all these stories how this phone "sux" and so on I began to question credibility of majority of users here. good thing i got my phone before reading these reviews.
i had my 7100r through Rogers for 2 years by now. this is my second unit as first was sunk in a coffee mug. i am quite happy with the unit as it has everything i need and i don't have to reset it on hourly bases as other PDAs. I would say the phone is great if all you need is a reliable phone, with internet, email and calendar functions. This was a solid business tool for me so far.

cheers
y

I have the 7105t through Tmobile, and this phone is absolutely horrible. The call quality sucks. The email, and text messaging capabilities are great, but again its the phone that sucks. I also have people tell me that it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel, and don't even try to talk on this phone if there is even an iota of background noise. After a few months I got a replacement, and still had the same problems, I just purchased the Tmobile Dash and I'm praying this works better.

All the 7100 model that i got from rogers (3 or 2 of them) all have the same microphone problem. the caller simply cannot hear my voice. It wastes me a lot of time and headache. the worst thing is that rogers, and blackberry customer service seems doesn't know any thing about this issues. ??? so incompetent!...the one the thing i would say is that. stay away from blackberry 7100 model. otherwise, make sure you test your phone before buy it. regards

I am glad to hear the someone has a postive experience with the 7100t. (I suspect a plant) I am on my 3rd from work and every one of them is crap. This has got to be the worst device I have ever used.

All 3 phones had the mic stop working. Yea, I can use a headset but that is not the point. There is clearly a manufacturer defect on this product yet Blackberry refuses to own up to it even with relentless complaints from users. Seems like a CAL is necessary to get them to listen

For me, this is the last BB product I will ever use. I can get far more functionality with my smartphone w/ wi-fi, get more connectivity, cheaper calls (using VoIP) and no ridiculous roaming charges, better quality and so on....

Seems to me it is only a matter of time before the market wakes up to more effective and less costly solutions that will make BB look like a Kaypro!

I am on my 4th 7100t. I too went through the huge waste of time of getting the run around from customer support. They want to run tests, update the software, etc. Everytime I call they act like this is some rare problem. I can't be sure that I am even leaving someone a message they will understand, ever. A friend played me some of the garbled, gibberish off of his voicemail. It's no wonder I don't hear back from many people I leave messages for. This has been a gigantic PITA. My current 7100t isn't any better and is getting worse daily.

Now, I understand, tmobile is stopping carrying the 7100t completely. Even if I wanted to get a new replacement I can't.

What a huge nightmare.

After about a year of use, my 7100t will not charge anymore from the computer or the charger. Two nights ago it got a full charge only when I shut it off and plugged it in. Now nothing seems to work.
When I plug it in to my computer, my computer gives messages over and over that the USB device is not recognized.
I have had many complaints from people that I am calling that the phone is too loud with background noise and have to try to cover the mic with my hand to get it to sound better.

I have owned a Nokia 9210, A Imate Jam and Mto V3r Razr. I have to saay this is the worst and complicated phone i have ever owned. The owner manual do not give you a layout of the keys. When I send messages the suggested text is totally wrong and I have yet to figure out how I turn intellitype off. The phone has only one Alarm so If I have various appointmetns I have to change the alarm. Lesson learn! Never again will I opwn a Blackberry. It's a shame that the Europeans and Asians has to show us how to make a user friendly Smart Phone.

I am about to lose my very best friend because I can't stand her T-Mobile Blackberry. We are constantly being "dropped", and the sound quality is horrible. It is impossible to have a conversation with her and understand a tenth of what she is saying. I told her to never call me again on her fake phone!

This has been the worst phone I've owned. I get complaints from most people I talk to concerning backgroud noise and the speaker volume is too low to listen while driving. I consider myself lucky since I am replacing it under warranty because the track wheel sticks.

My husband insisted on purchasing a Blackberry after he retired because he had one when he was working and found it very useful while traveling internationally.

He recently returned from a one month trip to Norway where we occasionally communicated by e-mail. We just received a bill from T-Mobile for over $2,000.00 for data transmission charges,(they are claiming it costs $15.00 per megabyte), and that these were third party charges that they were just passing on.

I should mention that his e-mail address is the same for both home and mobile and that we did purchase an add on service for what is described as "unlimited" international e-mail usuage.

Has anyone else had this or a similar experience? We cannot get a straight answer from T-mobile customer service and there is nothing in the service contract or anything on their website that would clarify these charges. Any information would be appreciated.

My speaker or regular microphone stopped working on my 7100t. It works if I attach a headset to it..... I have read many complaints on the microphone/speaker on this.... Is there a way I can reinitialize this? or is my microphone/speaker broken?
