This was my 1st BB. I have had mobile phones 17 years now. I say that because even though this one doesn't have a camera. No 3g. No wifi. BUT! What it does though, it does quite well! I LOVE this thing. It's non-pretentious. It for me, set the bar as far as what a serious mobile communicator and pda is concerned. It BLOWS away the competition with serious note taking skills. Clear sound. Built like a TANK! I know it is yester-years class, but when I fell on it earlier this year I was furious with myself for breaking it. I regularly back up my data, so the pain was at destroying a perfectly good phone. This unit if you can find one at great prices ( you can) is the perfect little second phone for business. Or a 1st if you need a first experience and you are serious about keeping up with your life. Oh and don't forget about the Blackberry network. Cheap entry! I'm out!

It shows lines on the screen, more like drops of ink does anyone have an idea what is the cause of that..??

hav a Blackberry7290 but can not browse wit it, pls how can i set it in order to browse.why is it dat i can not transfer music into d phone since it has bluetooth.pls i need advise on how to set the browsing .

Interesting little story behind this one.

When Microsoft was reviewing this phone for a big contract to set up blackberrys, and they were questioning EVERYTHING. When they finally got to the topic on how it would react to being dropped, he picked it up and said "I'll show you." He then picked it up and threw it at the wall behind the Microsoft Executives doing the deal, to the shock of them all. He then pick it up, turned it back on and made a call to one of the guys in the room.

The still have Microsoft's contract all the way up to today in 2010.
