can anyone tell me if there is an option to use pocket pc compatible software on this phone. I need to download log book from the royal college of surgeons which is compatible with pocket pc and palm.

8700r from rogers.

really user friendly, can synch up contacts, the screen resolution is superior to the 7130e i had prior to the 8700r, receiving email without going through the hassle of setting up the email client and it's FAST with edge and the intel processor.

not bad for a high end phone without all the bling-bling to it.

Been thinking about getting this phone. I'ev played around with it, and its ideal for what i am looking for. Though does anyone know about syncing it up with a Mac? As in the cost of the 3rd part software, and what it backs up exactly. its either this, M600 or the P990i

Many smart phones available. Nokia E61 better with blackberry connectivity than this ugly phone.

Blackberry is a business phone mainly for corporate or business.
To the ordinary person it isn't much but for business and corporate for emails and etc, it is superb.
As for the internet on the phone being fast? The answer is YES, it flys through the internet like no other phone I have had.

Went to the Cingular store ready to buy a Treo. Salesgirl said Blackberry is better for web connection than Treo. Anyone agree?

no wifi? no cardslot? Waste of money, if it wasnt for Blackberry's monopoly through businesses, no one would buy these pieces of plastic. Get a real smart phone.
