My gf has one of these and swears by it.
We have always had problems getting the BB and any Nokia phone to talk to one another by Bluetooth though, so if anyone else has done this, input would be gratefully received.
I think its main value lies in the email 'push' technology - I don't particularly like the way it works as a phone, but then as a Nokia fan, anything that's new is inherently evil (only joking).
If you want an email/web client that works as a phone (probably in that order) then it may be for you. My feeling is that it just doesn't work well enough as a phone for me to buy one - the address book is clunky, for example (IMO).

I tried this today and the screen is AWESOME!!! Due to its wide screen, this is the only phone worthy of surfing the internet. Only draw back is the lack of expension memory card, and no media players.

8700r from rogers.
really user friendly, can synch up contacts, the screen resolution is superior to the 7130e i had prior to the 8700r, receiving email without going through the hassle of setting up the email client and it's FAST with edge and the intel processor.
not bad for a high end phone without all the bling-bling to it.

Been thinking about getting this phone. I'ev played around with it, and its ideal for what i am looking for. Though does anyone know about syncing it up with a Mac? As in the cost of the 3rd part software, and what it backs up exactly. its either this, M600 or the P990i

Many smart phones available. Nokia E61 better with blackberry connectivity than this ugly phone.

Blackberry is a business phone mainly for corporate or business.
To the ordinary person it isn't much but for business and corporate for emails and etc, it is superb.
As for the internet on the phone being fast? The answer is YES, it flys through the internet like no other phone I have had.

Went to the Cingular store ready to buy a Treo. Salesgirl said Blackberry is better for web connection than Treo. Anyone agree?
