I traded my G1 for this. And I am quite pleased with my decision. Yeah the web browsing is way behind but I gladly trade that away for the battery life with this phone. With my G1 I had to carry my charger everywhere I went. This phone can last me two or three days of moderate use. Plus the battery charges in like twenty minutes to full status. BBM is great. And the media player is decent also. I do hate that I haven't figured out how to actually play youtube video on my bb but I can do without. The facebook app cud use a bit of tweaking but it gets the job done very well. The phone has a very regal feel and look to it as I walk around looking at gsmarena.com. This was my first bb and I def. Won't be my last I debating if I will go for the curve 8520 or the 9700 bucz I don't have a digital camera but I haven't decided. By I am a crackberry addict. Hook line and sinker

2 reasons
when you put in your pocket it could turn off cause theres an off/on button on top and is the battery dead
and my advise dont put it in your poket why would you anyway

without cam a complete phone. this is not only the phone but it also give you a gracefull look.

hello can anyone tell me how to get the doccumnet viewer just email me plase its so hard not hvaing it and having a windows mobile devide with it my email address is colin_odwyer@hotmail.com when i find out or if someone tells me how to get it and i hav eit i will post where to get it and to say theres no need to contact me again but for now all options are open so start emailng me with any informaion youb have on where to get this doccument vew for word excel etc

i like the phone but it is the most confusing thing i ever had, im moor of the kind of person that will try to and will figure things out on my own not using the manual but this BB even with the book i find just very very hard to understand and use. someone like me probably shouldn't have something like this. i will most likely return it for something much simpler.

I love my 8800, especially for piano-black, glossy housing with shining side rails. Its just beautyfull :) look verry luxury and elegant.

I just bought this phone unlocked... i am surprised that I am unable to transfer a picture, contact, file etc using bluetooth from my laptop/another phone to this BB8800... it always says sending failed...Why??...
2. I am yet to start my GPRS, so do not know browser capabilities yet....but I am trying to download the Desktop Manager software from the Blackberry website, it is more than 200mb, but it cuts off in the middle and doesnt download...Why??
This phone is good, but maybe I am doing something worng... any help would be much appreciated....

I am looking to purchase a new phone. I like the wifi and internet options on this phone. When looking to upgrade my plan, they ask if I want the blackberry internet/email package and the gps package. Do I relly need these packages at $50 per month?

look i have collection of cellphones...I have HTC,NOKIA,Samsung,Sony Ericsson annnnd this BlackBerry and it`s one of those cell phones that i can`t seprate it from myself !!! I love this but it has some problems like having no camera!!! totally it`s such classical phone !! :X
