Its not Naaptol - Its Naap-CHOR-Tol ! I bought a Blackberry 8830 WE from this wretched website, to begin with the phone stopped working in 3 days - followed by NO customer service afterwards and endless calls to them. Finally spent Rs 1400 to repair the motherboard of the phone.
Only to find out that its a Verizon phone and will NOT register on Vodafone for any BB services.
Now endless calls to Vodafone lead to 'contact your vendor'. I see small caps 'gprs'. But until I dont see big caps 'GPRS' Vodafone cannot 'push configuration' for BB services.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

> In reply to Saabu @ 2011-02-26 18:51 from vwnf - click to readyes, you can use the internet without BES/BIS, just google search for "how to edit blackberry service books" .

You can also use Opera mini, it will work only on GPRS and not on BIS or BES.
1) Enter you APN somewhere in the options menu.
2) Just run Opera Mini.

Yes, this handset can work with CDMA, right after you go to your provider and ask them to inject your no. inside it. Or if you want to use GSM network, just put your RUIM inside this handset. it's easy to switch on between cdma and gsm network, just go to network option and switch there. The lack of this handset is a small memory for application and msg. I have upgrading my 8830 using hybrid os, which has remove some un-use module, so it free up some space for me. My free mem after restart is around 21-22mb. After whole day activity of BBM, messenger, email and browsing, it only drops to 13-14mb. Things that I like from this handset is the shape, also the chrome painted side, its so exclusive ( I have the silver one). The battery last 1,5 day. It,s good enough phone for medium loads of mailing and messaging, tiny price too here in jakarta (US$70 - US$85). That's my experience using this handset, and I'm writing this using Huron 8830. Hope it brightening yaaa...

> In reply to Sra111 @ 2011-01-30 12:06 from bC1I - click to readit does support CDMA, but you have to go the option on the menu list and change it from GSM to TVEX.
There you go it starts working!

Can someone tell me if
Blackberry 8830 world edition phone supports CDMA.
I have a tata indicom number.
When i enquired about it in some shops, they confirmed that it supports GSM only. But the reviews below are contradictory then.

Thanks !
