Recently just got my new 9700 bold but am having problems with the bluetooth function. I cant seem to receive any files from other bluetooth devices?? I read somewhere that on Blackberries you need to go to media, press the receive using Bluetooth option and then it works, but on mine it consistently says waiting for connection??
I have already paired it with these devices, but it just seems to disconnect and says it is unable to transfer files??
Can someone please help me and tell me where im going wrong??
Thanks

Being a long-standing Symbian fan (despite all the glitches) - I am getting the 9700 on Friday... Hoping it's all that it's cracked up to be. Will post a reply once I've had it a few days to let you kno what I think.
blackberry has all the functionss ,i use a curve for office and n97 for personal, sometimes video call does play a role in emergency for different individuals , BB should hve video call , fingers cross

tom t, 08 Feb 2010why no cam for video call?no body is using video call feature. i am using 3G phone since 2004 and had a video all just 2 times. i love BB Bold, as it is an optimum smartphone, got everything that you need. nothing extra (like 12 MP camera, dual speaker) or nothing less.
Hi.Just wanted to know, what current users think about the built quality? As for me i feel the battery cover is a bit lose, even though it doesn't come off itself.Did anybody else experience it or is it just the one set i had a demo with, the set was brand new too. appreciate your reply.
why no cam for video call?

GAZZA, 08 Feb 2010Please can someone advise..I have the choice between the Nokia E72 and the Blackberry 9700 - w... moreI tested both of them, clearly, 9700 is a more beautiful smartphone than E72. With E72, you can't connect with 2 e-mail accounts, but there isn't a problem like that with BB.
And the new Bold is faster than E72. And in my opinion 9700's design is better than E72.

this is not fair. we should categorize these things because clearly BB is for ppl who dont want to leave the office without their emails (even in vacations).
the only reason why i changed from E71 to this phone is because of the email and voice clarity. but i dont like the interface. its so sad that nokia has to let go of the bb service (sigh). so if you guys just want to buy bb because its the THING today then you're just wasting money (cuz probably you wont use the BB service). go for the phone that will really really really serve your needs. go get something that will always be in your pocket, not something that you always hold (to show).
zano, 08 Feb 2010its a good phone but overratedhow to say it's over rated ?
how to select the bluetooth function?
its a good phone but overrated

But after careful consideration apart from the BB's email prowess E72 has more to it. Finally, i decided on the E72 and never regrets it at all..
