just bought the Bold 9700 recently, though i havent used the internet services coz im still waiting the configuration to be sent by my network provider, so far so good!i love my new phone! it's worth the money!just wishing to maximize it's usage soon!

Thanks a lot for your reply but OS6 not only available in BB Torch its also comes with Bold 9780 which looks exactly same as Bold 9700. The only diff in 9780 is OS6 & 5 MP Camera. Rest of all is same.

So I think I also have to wait for official release from BB.

However, there are many unofficial "Beta" versions of OS6, which you can obtain from places such as: www.crackberry.com. Crackberry also gives advise on how to instal it; but be warned of the many associated glitches that have been reported when upgrading from say OS5 to OS6.

NB: the O6 version is NOT supported by BB, for any phone other than the officially launched BB Torch. If you instal it you may negate any warranty you have with your existing OS5.

I have heard nothing but problem associated with the un-official version of O6; so be mindful!

Personnaly, I am waiting for the officially released version of O6 for phones such as the Bold 9700. Or better still, I may even wait until I upgrade to a phone that officially uses OS6. I suggest that you do the same.

But yeah get it only if u plan to get the services on like a data plan!
