I would love RIM to come up with another Bold9000 form factor, fit it with a trackpad and at least 512mb RAM & 1500mAh battery. Doesn't matter to me if it's still using the crappy 624mhz proc. I think 9700's screen is just too narrow.

> In reply to blackberrian @ 2010-11-02 19:18 from v3xa - click to readit's not simple at all..
when i upgrade my device, then i need to tell all my friends to re-invite my PIN

it would be much easier if PIN attached to user, not the device

@Hazee

You will be able to download OS 6 onto a 9700. Its formated to the specs of the 9700. Its a little slower but works none the less.

Now all RIM needs to do is make a phone with this form factor and a touch screen. A faster processor, more memory and an aluminum body. Then they can call it,
"The One".
cause that my friends would be the perfect phone!!

> In reply to walnutpaste @ 2010-11-02 17:29 from 2IXT - click to readHi walnutpaste,

1. Each blackberry devices no matter what model they are have their own unique 8 digit pin number..in simple words, when u change ur devices automatically u have one new pin from the new one..SIMPLE!..so,u need to tell all ur friends about ur pin/device changes..

2. u must always aware of the 2nd hand devices..coz,u never know what the previous owner do with their devices..whether they take care of the device as it should be or vice versa..so,if u ask me, i suggest get the new one..problem free..ur device get 1 year warranty from the supplier (make sure ur supplier is authorized supplier)..

3. this one im not sure..coz as far as i know, when u buy new one it should includes with all the basic things in the packages..one of it - desktop manager CD..as for 2nd hand im not sure..better check..make a good research before u dump ur money into devices..

Hi,

I am new here. Want to ask some questions a first time Blackberry user faces -

1. If in the future, I changes another BB model, how does the BB pin works? Does the new user of my old phone gets to see my contacts?

2. If my phone is 2nd hand, what happens if it malfunctioned?

3. Can I buy the BB Desktop Manager CD or borrow from someone if it does not come with it when I buy the BB from a 2nd hand shop?

Pls help!!! Thanks!

When is this phone coming to India.

Blackberry currently has a very big market in India and they should launch their phones in India along with the rest of the world launch.

This is the most worthless product that someone would purchase, if you are a blackberry user and you see this phone, why would you migrate and pay to go from a 9700 of even 5900 or even 9000 when this phone is nothing but the same product inside from 4 years ago... get serious RIM, ok you claim the torch is a different product which in reality is the storm a little modified, so theres no way you can last the next 10 years with these products with no sence of going forward in the mobile industry, sorry. I might be leaving blackberry to go to iphone due to blackberrys way in trying to make new products that all look the same.
