Hi all, just want to share my experience almost 1 month using bold 9900. Only one word to say "awesome". Since bought it, i got os version .261, as i read somewhre on internet, this os version gave more problems. So i update the os to .503. I download the os from A1 website. I shrunk the os to remove things that i dont need such as, language, fonts, help files, video, music, map etc using BBH Tools. Then I installed the os using AppLoader. When the update process completed, I pull out the battery. I did it twice a day in 48 hours to give new os function properly with my bb. So far, I had no problem with my bb. battery usage is acceptable for 2 day in one charge circle. To ensure that my bb run faster, I always clear log events and cleaning memory. I use meterberry to monitor battery usage (ADR). for standby its discharge 1% per hour and when hardly bbm, its drain increase up to 4% per hour. Im happy being using it. The screen so clear with liguid crystal. Sound also clear for tones and musics.
i just completed one week of my new bb 9900..and must say it honestly that it was the mostt blissfull smartphone experience ever!! simply superbb phone!!!!
and now for everyones doubt confusion which i also faced..about the battery...day after i got 9900..i installed os 7.1 from crackberry..and battery runs whole day without any issue! so guys...plain and simple advice..close your eyes and buy 9900....:) :)
Such an amazing phone! Great battery life (for me anyway), liquid graphics.
The only thing I dislike is the fact that you can't touch type.
Very bad experience with d software and battery. Hv to charge twice in 24 hrs and weekly twice hv to take out d battery and restart.....:(
RB, 14 Dec 2011Are you enjoying your 9780. Do you feel its a right decision to dump 9900 and welcome back 9780.Honest answer, yes! Despite the 9900 has the bigger keypad and looks striking in the boardroom however, the performance isn't great in terms of battery! The 9900 is a great machine but I need to use my phone alot during the day and sadly the 9900 doesn't last me throughout the day and needs charging before I even set home on the train where there is no facilities for charging. People that tend to use BBM alot / FB etc will find themselves pretty much stranded where as I use it more for business and the 9900 fails to meet my demands. Please don't feel bad if you like the 9900 as it may suit your needs but if you a heavy user then I would suggest you carry a charger with you! Good luck in whichever you choose. Hope this helps.
Anonymous, 12 Dec 2011It doesn't! You have 8gb internal memory already but you can purchase a 16gb fairly cheaply of... moreAre you enjoying your 9780. Do you feel its a right decision to dump 9900 and welcome back 9780.
You want a business phone...look windows phone 7. BBM and BIS is no match for microsoft office and outlook. oh!...and not to mention the reliability that windows has to BB OS 7. BB software is terrible.
