So i have a serious question to ask, how many people really want a front facing camera on a phone? What are you really going to use it for? Its just another waste of money and time to invest and then you would moan that its out later etc. Its just a waste of time.
When its been released have a go on it and you ill forget all about the front camera because it is a very nice piece of kit. Many of you will not believe i have used one also, but i have pictures of the prototype.

DARK_HOUSE, 13 Aug 2011I have the 9780 for 8 monthes and had it repared 3 times already the trackpad twice and the so... moreIt seems that you have purchased a refurbished handset. I have been using the BB B3 9780 eversince it was launched. And it's working all fine.
Price tag is not attractive. However, it was launched in India during Independence day festive week. So I got it at a great discount at INR27,822 ($605) after a 5% BB discount, 5% shopkeeper’s discount and INR1,500 through my credit card. I will pay it out in six EMIs with 0% interest.
Executes commands pretty fast
Touch screen is very responsive
Widely spread keypad makes typing quite comfortable
Front side of phone gives an expensive look
Already built in applications let you use much the phone space
Thin form factor
Back side looks really ugly with rubber and shining plastic, instead of leather finish present in Bold 3
Camera quality is not so great, lacks auto-focus and sharpness and the correct pick
Lacks a front facing camera, so no video calling this time as well
Price tag is not justified given the features and what other competitors are offering
I would not compare this blackberry to iPhone4 or a high-end Android as each of them serves different purpose. As a business user and requiring a keypad for fifty odd emails that I send on a daily basis, I still consider this phone as the best available option. However, if my texting is not that of priority and can forego my BBM chats with friends, I would rather drop this phone from my buying list.
Is Blackberry bold 9900 have dual camera? what spot is on the right above side of the face is it LED light same as 9780 or a webcam for SKYPE?
hey guys don't think of buying this piece of sh#@ if battery life and camera quality are your priorities.even after a much cautioned use the battery didn't last a day>n pathetically no auto focus...yukk.rim thought u could do better

Why have RIM put a pathetic EDoF camera on the Bold 9900 ? (there flagship phone).
BIG mistake RIM !
RIM need to pull up there socks and get there act together. Wake up ! Or you will get left behind.
Guys, I'm damn confused between iPhone 4 n Bold 9900. Please help me out asap, as I'll be buying one within 1-2 day's.
hows the battery life? and the camera? a bit worried about those... thx
it is a good phone but battery life is bad if you are on gps or 3g or surfing. 3g practically drains it out in 2 hrs. even on 2g i am sufferring with the battery life. it drains in 12 hrs
It is a nice phone, already released in India.Nice design os very fast, touch screen is very responsive-awsom
after handling the handset, i can say im very happy with the styling :) seem they took a cue from the blackberry 9000, which many agree is the best looking bb handset so far
it still cant compare to the functionality of android or the iphone, but its good for those blackberry fanatics... when there not roiting that is :P
