> In reply to Arak @ 2011-06-09 10:38 from m4NR - click to readI wonder if you can use BB via wifi to help answer your question .The thing is BB use the servers for your security so if they let go and did what all other smartfones do the security of BB will be breached..Its their killer app i suppose..

I was a bit hasty in my last opinion but it was more of a rant about BB delaying their new Baby.I have got a 9105 now and still saving for this or E6 or s/e xperia pro..

Xperia pro now delayed,,huh,
E6 has not auto-focus and i use this a lot so kidding my self really..

BB 9900 it is still then.I just wish it was out NOW..

If its been delayed anyway why dont they put a front facing cam in at say VGA resolution..The other FM radio query is just not on..It costs nothing to purchase an fm chip these days..With face to face video available since 2002 and Apple pushing it plus faster and faster networks more folk will start to use the front camera..

Arrggghh every smartfone has its quirks but this is just not on for a 2011 smartfone.Still going to buy it tho cause i can use web radio and dont use video calls.I have heard its been delayed,,COME ON RIM YOUR BEHIND ALREADY DONT GET EVEN FURTHER BEHIND>??

> In reply to k @ 2011-06-09 09:59 from YPYf - click to readI would agree with you. BB is a highly professional handset, meant only and only for professionals. Off course, they can introduce new features like radio and front camera, but that would make BB an entertainment gadget rather than a professional one.
Anyways, I have found BB 9900's features amazing and I would love to have one, once available.

this is a worthy upgrade to my 9700 rather than 9780.

yep, front cam & fm radio although not really needed, would've been good additions, especially for blackberry to attract new customers.

my only concern is the battery specs. why did they downgrade it from previous bold?

larger screen, heavier processor will consume more power.
Blackberry phones are famous for its' great battery life, so i really hope this will be not be a major drawback as i hate to charge it as frequent as my sgs II.

i wouldn't even want to talk about the delay, depressing...

> In reply to brynn @ 2011-06-08 19:13 from nGxa - click to readBrynn , thank you for your reply , but the question is not the 2 parts of the business and the leisure , but in Blackberry Torch for example (I have one) you cant use the internet service such as facebook , Numbuzz , web search , Linkedin , youtube unless hyou are assigned to the Blackberry Service , , , this means that the mobile phone with its all power in hand will be only for calling and sms ing if you DONT have the Blackberry Service
so they should allow the users to have access to the net even if they dont have their balckberry service .

> In reply to Arak @ 2011-06-08 16:32 from m4NR - click to readdude thats why BB is different and known as the best secure phone. this is the same reason why BB is unavailable in some of the middle eastern countries where they wanna control all internet access. with BB u can do what u want with it. Just have to keep in mind that BB's target market is very particular and will make that market happy regardless of what other thinks. for eg. may or may not bring out front camera n radio functionality?? personally dont need front cam ... radio can listen anywhere anytime. dont really need it either lol. I just need a Professional ph .

> In reply to Arak @ 2011-06-08 16:32 from m4NR - click to readI have heard on a podcast that o/s 7 is having two parts in the device. It has the buisness part and leisure part..If you lose your device your company or YOU can wipe all the top secxret dat off the device whilst leaving the leisure dat alone.

So you can enjoy your part of the smartfone whilst away from the office but if you lose it on a night out it can be wiped leaving just your stuff on..

Nokia has this two way part in its E-Series smartfones you press the last icon and it sets up the fone for leisure or press again for your buisness set up..Both sections are fully customisable by YOU.

we all have the same concerns that blackberry is behind in the mobile hardwre technology and i agree with that , but the manin part that it has to change is its operating system restrictions .

i think that they are in the right track and they are improving their hardware and sotware in the same time and ptoducing quality mobile phones

the only major thing that they shlould change is the marriage of the functions with its service ,, meaning that you cant use the mobile except calling and sms ing if you dont have the blackberry service ,,, they should allow the mobile to be used for other functions specially the internet if you dint have the service ,,, this will make blackberry more flexible mobile device and not only bound to their service

Personally..I don't see the big difference between the bold touch and the bold 9780 nd blackberry torch phones. Apart from the improved operating system, there's nothing extra to offer.. They should really think about exapanding their horizons. A secondary camera and fm radio would be nice, for example.

i so wishes they put a dual processor in these new bolds. oh well, i think one 1200mhz processor would lack efficiency and use up bare power, thus low battery life.

What a shame that RIM can't meet deadlines and get the 9900 out as promised in June. Unfortunate, especially considering the success and hype of the Samsung Galaxy S2. Have a 9700 and about to upgrade but unsure that I will wait until June. RIM's loss is Samsungs gain!

The Battery is poor. It is 1230 milli-ampere per hour.
The battery in bold 2 & 3 is still better..
Something wrong with blackberry.
