My main concern is the battery. I expected 1500mah rather than 1200 but a smart design.
i own blackberry 9700, i'm not very happy with the apps or the integrity of os6 either. popular apps are bearly supported onn bb os6. knnowing that os7 is new and that will be replaced with another os soon which may not be supported on the 9900 either is waste time and money. iphone and android are light years ahead with the apps such as whatsapp, oovoo, viper, face time and google talk and many other thousands of apps.
the only reason i use bb is that because my company pay the BIS plan. otherwise i would 100% buy android or iphone5 phone.
i think google should buy RiM and have the RIM suite on android phones i think only then android would really be truely on top.
RIM release of 9900 with os7 is a cheat for current users who dont know that support of existing bearly working apps suh as whatsapp are still not made, which is a step backword really. by the time whatsapp is ready for os7, RIM will have to start over on new os... apps suck on BB period.
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2011i think the bb bold 9900 will not eat energy as bigger touchscreens.his touch screen is 2,8&qu... moremy main concern aint the price tag, coz i could wait months until its fallen.
btw with the way RIM do their things, this fone might not support the next OS (QNX).
My major concern is the battery, the processing power compared to the 9800 was doubled and the battery capacity reduced. i dont get the logic. they'll probably say the phone has been conditioned to optimise battery. i don't buy it, they're probably keeping mum on the battery life for a reason. I haven't seen that information anywhere
the handset is now available in vodafone uk stores exclusively!! this is very frustrating as i dont know when the general release date is!!!!
I have the 9780 for 8 monthes and had it repared 3 times already the trackpad twice and the sound was fucked didnt hear nothing but crinkly sound when some one call or when i reseved calls so hope they fixed alot of that with the new one
This smartphone has also been released on the Telus, Bell, and Rogers networks in Canada. I am not sure about the other networks though.
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2011i think the battery might be a problem if it uses power like android phonesi think the bb bold 9900 will not eat energy as bigger touchscreens.his touch screen is 2,8" and it is always the possibility lo lock the screen and use only trackpad when you want to save battery.i think our main concern should be the pricetag.
Hi Bash, there is a review on the 9900 on crackberry.com and it says that the camera is a fixed focus Edof one and not a autofocus.
Over priced. doesnt deserve dat much money. RIM start counting ur days..Better wait for IPhone5.
don't care what anybody thinks about this phone. i am so getting it . i mean once u go BB ur BB for life at least for me lol. i mean i want a phone not a play toy. and it has what it takes to be a smartphone. thats all i need. can't wait to be released in Australia.
This phone and blackberry is doomed to fail if they price this anywhere near the Galaxy S II range.
This should be priced around a little over half of what a Galaxy II cost. If not, good bye blackberry.
The economy is not as good as before when you could sell your expensive phones so easily. Now we have choices, and your only salvation aside from the quality of your phone is the pricing.
Better get it right.
AG, 11 Aug 2011No wonder you using display name 'mad'-max . read your own post , how stupid it is . so whats ... moreAG: agreed it may be your old technology RIM is using. but for one, don't you own a BB too? it just narrows down to what you like and what you do not like! you like IOS and Android better but still choose to keep a BB says a lot about your comment itself. people who are die-hard BB users have only one option, a BB!
hi i like that phone bcoz i m waiting this phone its very good phone
its fantastic phone if its come in red then its look soo coool
