I currently have an iPhone 5s and I really want to switch over to the Blackberry Classic. My only concern with the classic is the camera. I need a camera for work purposes (and the front facing camera for Skype calls as well), and I'm not sure if the quality would be good enough. To those of you who currently have this phone, do you think that both the front and back facing cameras are up to par?
So which phone are you talking about? These are not problems on all the phones you mentioned. I have had blackberries for years and had no trouble at all. Buy guess is that you are using the memory up to the limit so that it cannot cope with new messages and is desperately trying to to do its best by shifting stuff around. Check your memory usage in the settings. Do you have a SIM card? Have you set all the apps to save and read from the SIM card and not the phone? Have you deleted inessential apps to make more room for the stuff you want. If you have a bad phone I commiserate but this is not the blackberry experience for almost everyone else. The Classic is just the best phone out there.

Purely Business and Premium class phone. We don't play games all the day so blackberry is just a perfect blend of absolute quality with good amount of entertainment. I would suggest you to go with the mighty BlackBerry Classic.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2016can install the google store an my classic black berryyes you can
After switching from a BB to a Android Nexus 3 years I made the switch back to BB 1 year ago and chose the Classic over the Passport only because of the device size as it fits comfortable in my hand and with the wave of my thumb I can do nearly anything I want to do with apps. I love the battery life, the stability of the BB10 OS but what I really love is that this phone is so solid as my productivity tool that I use day in and day out I no longer have to worry about OS or app issues as I did on my Nexus. I use it as a phone, mobile hotspot and with Bridge my Pebble time steel smartwatch is a natural extension of the phone. Plus for the boo birds out there I have the Android apps I need with the Google Play store installed so I have the best of both worlds on this device.
The BB eco system is also beyond compare as far as I am concerned as I use BB Blend throughout the day and as a result my BB Classis is the hub for all of my communication needs weather business or personal.
If I want to play games or otherwise kill some time I have a Nexus 7 tablet for that sort of thing, but for getting stuff done day in and day out my BB Classic rocks.
I like. Classic simply because its inbuilt memory and battery life made me to be interested on it.
Fedup, 09 Mar 2016Been a Blackberry owner for years, put up with the derision and the often frustrating glitches... moreI don't undersand how your device can delete a lot of e-mails; i used BB classic overall for that and never happened to lose one. You can set your device for maintain the e-mails on your server and maybe make more attention coz it's really puzzling what you said.
I'm an owner of BB Classic; i never had a smartphone before coz i thought phone was just for call and sms and i prefere to mantein my nokia device, but after had a BB i can say it's perfect for all my needs.
I often used android phne coz it's really diffuse and (how you know) it's impossible to avoid, but i never be satisfied by those.
I installed a lott of .apk apps and the most run really good, but also if BB world are pretty low of apps i can say it's better than play store or amazon store (on my BB) and i always found what i need.
All kind of social apps works on BB device, also if i think it's often to use what's app than other, i don't understand how somebody can say the battery is a defect, considering that i can stay 2 days without chargebattery.
The design is really cool and i'm sure the components are too.
I think you have to try this device coz deserves all euro i spent.
i hope to see more BB in our hands, don't panic, try it!
Been a Blackberry owner for years, put up with the derision and the often frustrating glitches that the various models have had but I've remained loyal. Up until now and after over 12 months of persevering with BB10 via a Z10, a Passport and a Classic I've finally got to admit defeat. Blackberry you make a great phone but your software is beyond appalling. Numerous hangups, a phone that deletes not one but swathes of emails without warning, texts that disappear and photos that vanish. Phone calls that are made yet don't register in the call log and a phone that switches itself to silent without input. Screen requests to delete data that are cancelled and then go right along and do it anyway, operating systems that are wiped then reloaded that continue with the same problems and a desktop link system that hangs up, doesn't communicate with the phone and when it does, does not carry out the actions requested? You've beaten me Blackberry, no wonder you're on your last legs and such a pity. I wonder if anyone at Blackberry actually reads these customer comments as it doesn't seem to manifest in better products? What am I switching to? Not a clue as I'm disgusted with myself for paying over $400 for a phone through sheer loyalty and being the owner of such a let down product.
