This is my 3rd BB I've had the 8820, 8320 and now the 8900.

I can say that the phone looks awesome, if you had used the old BB OS it takes a while to get used to, the only issue that I have is the battery it doesnt last as long as my other blackberries, but i got used to it, the GPS option is great on this phone they have improved it a lot.

typein is great, it takes you less than 5 min to get used to it, if you text/email/bbm you will love it.

There are so many people that complain that this phone doesn't have 3g with edge it runs fine and in so many places 3g doesnt exist or its very limited, so for me that is fine plus 3g drains your battery quicker.

Over all I will give this phone a 4.6 due to the battery issue that doesn't last as long as my other bb's. if you have any questions just shoot and I will reply

I have had this phone a while now! i have had no issues with it. Its my second blackberry as i had the pearl first. Was damn happy with the pearl but when i got offerd this for free or the bold for some money i chose this as i was happy with my old one. So glad i did. The extra money would have been a waste of time wjust to get the 3g the functionality is great. Does everything you want it to do. Definately recommend it. However like any BB they do take over your life.

@ ZZZ:

There are sample pics in the GSMarena review of this phone.

Personally, what i do find as a letdown is the lack of a few basic options to take pictures. Stuff like a timer & more color effects than just sepia & black n white would be nice.

The video recording on here is HORRENDOUS to say the least. Watching youtube videos or other streaming videos is fine, but when you are recording a video, nope. it is just plain terrible.

in response to Mark Sciberras:

If u wish to have 2 mobile #s under a contact (as opposed to a mobile/home/work #s) what i have done is set up a new contact using the same name and add "alt. mobile" as part of the name.

Ex: Mark Schiberras
Mark Schiberras (alt mobile)

This way names comes up in your contacts listings in this manner and u are not confusing yourself with any misc information.

This is merely a suggestion, ur more than welcome to try alternative means.

This is what ive done and i've had no problems with it

I've had the 8900 for 2 months and am just amazed with the phone's functionality. I'm now facing two problems, the track-ball is getting stuck...cleaning doesn't help and as soon as an incoming call is received the phone turns into handsfree mode and then by itself switches back to normal mode.

Hi,

Had the 8900 for 3 weeks now and love it. My first Blackberry. Very functional phone with no fuss. Has anyone managed to add a second mobile entry for a given contact ?
