If i were to get one, the reason will be the trackball navigator and the classy design with good enough functionality for all users which includes business man and or others whom will need those functions. I believe that the trackball will make phones much more user friendly since most of phone owners are familiar with mouse as the trackball may replace it on Blackberry which any other brand doesn't have. Cheers Blackberry Rocks!

It has an office document viewer and editor. Just go to crackberry.com like the earlier post. For everything blackberry. There's a lot more stuff in there like games and applications.

This 8900 is one of the best phones i've had! My phone company sent me a new battery so it runs for 1 to 2 days with lots of use. If it's slow just do a quick pull wihch is an app you can download so you don't have to do a physical battery pull. And just restart your phone everyday as advised to keep it running fast!! I personally like how this phone feels then the bold or whatever phone is out there.. just my 2 centS~~

Don't buy it I had it for 1 week and I returned it. Screen freezes, software is running very slow. Get yourself iPhone or Nokia, much much better than blackberry.

hey You :)
thats fairly simple ..
to turn on /off/ up / low .. the Ringer in this phone , simply click on the "Profiles" option .. under the profile which u are actively using , for eg if ur on "normal"
in brackets next to ur active profile it would show "Active"
scroll down click "Advanced"
.. go to "Phone"
.. under this u can Customize as well as choose Volumes.. of ur incoming Calls !!!
its fairly simple n easy ... however .. smart phones since they have so many features in them , takes time to get around ;)
i m a phone freek , in literal terms and i love this model of BB..
its small and packed in with features..
enjoy... your phone :)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-07-01 00:45 from uExe - click to readVery good question to pose:
Initially, i was thinking the tour was a CDMA only phone. After doing some research, some websites indicate that the tour has U.S. CDMA & world GSM capabilities. Some sites are dubbing it the tour "world phone".
So, in a sense, the tour may show up after all in the BB line-up here on GSMarena, perhaps with a slightly different model number? i.e. the two storms that are listed on here (9500 vs. 9530).
If anyone else has valid info, please share!

I had a major problem with the battery - wasn't lasting more than 1 day. Since found out that when coming out of applicatis such as Facebook, Myspace, Google maps, Sat Nav, etc - they remain running in the background and use all the battery up very quickly.
When using the menu button, you get a command saying "switch application" - there should be 5 apps running, any more and the battery is being severely used up without you even knowing!
When closing them down, use your menu's and exit/close an application properly - this way the battery will last a good 3-4 days easily.
Hope this helps people.
