Sidd1990, 29 Jul 2017 Does BlackBerry Leap Supports Whatsapp Properly? It does work properly bt as from 31 december blackberry leap user got to switch to supported phones, what a waist of our monies! This is not fair people.
Awful cellphone. The worst cellphone I have ever had. Doesn't cost a dime. DO NOT purchase this piece of crap. It's a total waste of money. Nothing works properly on this cellphone and way tooooo slow. Battery sucks. NOT recommended at all.
- Weak battery, drains very fast
- Cannot drive standard 32 ohm headphones (way too quiet)
- Slow processor, emails with lots of text shutter on screen
- Very weak wi-fi antenna, worst of all BB phones probably
- Phone is too big, sharp edges make it uncomfortable to hold
- Overall very bad design, hate it from day 1, still using my old 9300
Vnzmstr, 03 Jul 2017Upon reading a couple of these comments, non has stated about the battery draining issues... o... moreYes, mine is even worse. BB cannot use radio properly, constantly transmitting & wasting battery, turn off cell radio and see for yourself how battery life dramatically improves. BB needs to review their design practices.
z8, 23 Apr 2017I bought this phone last week and I am in love with everything except for the app store. The... moreHow is Bb Leap battery life, can it last 2 days on normal use, I am interested to buy this phone. Thanks Pta
Upon reading a couple of these comments, non has stated about the battery draining issues... or is it just mine? This phone drains like crazy even if it's not in use. It drains around 30%-60% per day. I even use factory reset and it still has battery issues. This phone is almost 2 years old. This was my emergency phone so I didn't use it that much. The first year wad great but upon hitting 17 months, it starts to fail. I'm never buying another blackberry in the future. Stick with other phones.
I love the Leap a dream to text and email on, but I love the kijiji app and it doesn't download on the Leap and you are limited to what you can do on banking apps. Too bad other then that I would never own another phone.
my 1st blackberry handset was the curve 9300. I enjoyed using the device, its only shortfall used to be a weak battery. since I was on BIS and was usually Internet connected the battery only lasted 8 months and after that I had to buy a new battery. presently my curve is parked as her memory needs to be fixed. when I get those rands I am going to fix her and get her up and going. my second type blackberry is a 3g stl100 blackberry z10. I am satisfied with my z10 though I have heard a lot of complaints about it. but from this handset I miss th 4g and let conectivity. but still I like my handset and soon I will become an owner of the leap because I am poisoned with blackberry
Gudgie Boy, 31 May 2017I liked the blackberry leap the first minute i saw it but found it to be too expensive as new ... moreI use mine as native as possible. No Android apps. Just Web apps. It doesn't drain my Leap's battery too. I actually use it as my hotspot to all my other BB10 devices. And it handles all the tasks with ease.
The Leap has the best battery efficiency ratio amongst all BB10 devices. The looks is the best especially without a case. It looks modern and classy.
I liked the blackberry leap the first minute i saw it but found it to be too expensive as new and had my reservations about the blackberry 10 OS but now you can sideload Google Play Store I can get all my apps I previously used on android. Second hand ones are of a good price. bought one and I am very pleased
Operates great love the 10.3.1 OS and since I installed Google Play Store I have a handset that looks great and functions to my requirements , Build quality is excellent Camera great ( as with other phones with good light ) Great home screen that you can have without the clutter of Icons . and lock screen with notifications showing is a great feature Overall great phone ( now with Google Play Store ) Best of both worlds
BlackBerry leap is nice product n unique, it looks great n has been buit decently wid nice grip n back texture, only prob wid BlackBerry is OS 10 which even does not support its own apps so sad for BlackBerry n especially for fans otherwise OS 10 was intresting, butone thing I can say that backBerry is killer smartphone maker when comes to its Design #Distinctlydifferent#NoBodylikethis
The Leap is the sexiest BlackBerry ever. It's my daily driver as well. Battery efficiency is superb compared to other BB10 devices. Camera is excellent. Shoots sharp pics on a good day. I went to the park and took some panoramic shots with my Leap. And guess what? People were impressed when they saw the Leap shots compared to their iPhones 6/6s. Their iPhone shots were grainy and washed out. If you know how to use the Leap's camera properly, you can achieve some great photos from it.
Just have my Leap for a week now. I have been using almost all Blackberry devices, just switched from the Classic into the Leap and I must say the bigger screen is it !
The keyboard is also more touch responsive than other brands running on Android.
It's a business phone indeed and I don't need any Android apps, even though they run quite well after testing e.g. "Navigator".
So my opinion : Blackberry well done, but keep the OS10 alive and running and up to date, pls.
just install the android versions ... i use a lot of android apps in it
vnzmstr, 08 May 2017Blackberry leap, like any other phones out there, is very reliable when it comes to calls and ... moreI thought so as well, but it's an easy fix.
Just download APK files online and you can install pretty much any android apps out there. For YouTube I downloaded an android app called NewPipe which works better than the native one.
Basically for whatever app you want from Android you can just download in the browser and install onto the phone. It's really beneficial as blackberry blocks most pop ups.
I'd go as far as to say the Leap runs android apps better than budget android phones. Even android games run well.
