I just bought the BlackBerry Pearl 8120. I am a T-Mobile customer. I must say the Manual really is bad. It's just you have to figure everything out yourself. I have a constant green light blinking and that is never mentioned anywhere in the Manual. Is there a Manual out there where everything is explained? I had a Rzr before and you could send sms msgs with pictures in it, can you do this too? Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Can Somebdy please tell me where I could find a free downloadable program to edit word and excel files on the Pearl 8120?
Also some good sites, where I could download some cool apps (mostly free) for my device.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-08 16:59 from whAvThe BlackBerry phones are 2G only. This is simply because they link direectly to your email inbox so there is no requirement for them to be 3G.
The Wi-Fi is strong and as long as you have the passkey for whatever establishment you are in, you can gain unlimited access.
the 8120 (Pearl series) come with a media manager that uses Roxio to organise the files. So you can play MP3s, Videos, and store photos on it.
BlackBerry's are worth getting only if you are intending to check emails reguarly.
With regards to games, I know you can download suduko on them, but unsure about chess or likewise. The BlackBerry owner lounge is worth a look at, although you will need to register first. visit http://www.blacberry.com to find out more, and use an existing handset to play around with it first.
Hope this helps!

To reserve the battery life with a BlackBerry, simply put it in the case provided. Although not looking the part, it does infact have an in-built magnet which draws down the phone's battery and runs on minimal power. You can still receive msgs, emails and calls, and as soon as you take it out of the case, it powers back up again.
Mine lasts for approximately 9 days straight by doing this. This is good if you travel alot and need to use your BlackBerry constantly.
With regards to the applications, these are just like the Nokia N Series where you have to shut the application or else it will still run.
Hope this helps!

I really dont know what the hype about the blackberry is, previously being a blackberry owner (company phone). the phones have to be the worse on the market "as phones" i mean for e-mails they are the BEST, but as for phones they are really bad. Most people have them cause they seem to think there important or like to act like thier important. But im real life you people need to get a life and stop jumping on the band wagon. Just cause a celebrity has one. So pathetic

you can use a 4gb memory card and the 2.0 mega pixel camera is very good. Takes great pictures! The video recording is updated from the 8100 seeing that it didnt have it so it is a better step up.
