the phone really is a great phone, the only issue i have is that the manufacturer seemed to really skimp on the ramdom access memory, making multitasking a real hastle, but once you plan to do one thng at a time, ur kool. tried playingasone while playinga game, wont be making that mistake again.

The phone tends to freeze every now and then, it looks and feels great, sound is ok too but the freezing is a problem, maybe a software update will get rid of that bug, personally, I'm not really a nut about this phone - it's ok as a gift for someone not-too-special

Will RIM ever release the next generation of this form factor.
Hopefully a Blackberry Pearl Flip 2 before they releaser Blackberry Bold 3.

I have had mine for almost one year. I bought the $7/month additional replacement warranty - thankfully.
I have had to send it in for replacement twice now. It just stopped working and shutdown.
The battery is crap. I charged it all night, removed it from the charger at 9am and by noon it was already dead. This is a brand new battery that came with the last replacement.
I now have to use bluetooth headset for work, so I now have to have the phone plugged into the charger 24/7. Useless.
I like the phone itself. Except for the above, and the fact that if you have to restart it, it takes at least 5 minutes to restart.

i have a first hand experience with the bb flip and it was hell. it ws giving me alot of problem and i send it in and got a bb8520

the bb flip is an exeptional phone nice features good battery life. too bad its so underestimated. i wish bb would build an upgrade for it .maybe with a track pad and full qwerty

charming, charming phone! i used it for almost 6 month and got into the temptation of BB Bold, which is a bit of a disappointment since the pearl flip turns out to have stronger battery power, and i've never did the battery-pull on it, now i do it almost religiously on my Bold :'( i missed this phone...
