This phone is the absolute WORST.... it keeps restarting ... every 3 hours... and then ever so often it would go into a "restarting phase" ... where it's stuck in start up mode for like 30 -45 minutes... and then finally get back to normal.... only for the same thing to happen a few minutes later...

whats up with that???...

Please let me know whether you have connected your Black berry 8220 Pearl Flip as Tethred Modem to connect to Internet in your Laptop /Desktop. Please let me know how to do it. I also own a BB flip and I need it really very bad to cut down my Internet bills with the other service as i am on the unlimited plan in BB 8220 with BSNL.

Regards,

I had the bb 8220, but now I own a 8120. With the bb flip I suggest to buy a plastic screen protector as some small scratches may appear on the lower side of the screen (were it touches the trackball "crater") a little bit too thick, and if you chat a lot it's annoying to open it every 2 minutes. Nevertheless keypad is bigger, trackball doesn't gets dirty that much or pushed while in the pockets, music player is easier to use and keypad lock isn't a problem. Depends how you are going to use your bb.

> In reply to Tsai Tsing Wai @ 2009-03-07 11:52 from Ui$dI work for Rogers and advising that people use Googlemaps on their phone is ludacris unless they have a 2 to 3 gig service they will be charged huge. With googlemaps you must load EVERY detail, if you want to change the view again you have to reload the entire picture. If people are looking for a expensive phone bill for looking up a tiny little map be my guest, but I don't think it's worth it. If you need to find your way that bad go buy a map. It will save you money in the long run if you don't have GPS. Also, GPS isn't free on the phone, you have to upload it to your system and then you have to pay $10 a month to your service provider (That's the Rogers cost anyways). Hope this helps keep your phone bill managable. CHEERS

> In reply to chino.sr @ 2009-03-03 20:30 from Pn$HOperating System update! Goto BlackBerry Site... lookup your Operating System version and sub-version. See if it is the latest. I had these issues with my Bold in Nov 2008... all resolved in minutes after an OS update. Cheers

> In reply to Lydia @ 2009-04-15 04:57 from iS5bThere is a new application by BlackBerry called the Media Sync Manager... available for both Mac and Windows. Goto the Downloads section of the BlackBerry site, you will find it. happy uploading :D

Oh please do lookup 'help' (the question mark icon in BB Operating System)if you want to read instructions on how to do things with it. It is very concise and explains it all also goes online to the site if you allow it to to fetch you an answer :)

> In reply to deeksha @ 2009-05-21 15:41 from v$AXHey the restarts and the never ending clock appearing are all problems associated with the operating System... you need an upgrade. Which I downloaded in nov 2008 after I got my Bold. It was amazing after the first OD upgrade. best of luck... I'm buying one of these next week :D
