If I may add to PLEASE HELP, try to consider the area of comfort and ease and your inclination. Remember that the choice is yours. Common mistakes (like I do when I purchased a mobile phone that hurt my pocket years ago) are getting a phone because its the "hottest" item and the prestige of having that unit. don't let it rule your choice and mess-up weeks later. Get a phone that fit your needs as an entertainment enthusiast or a young professional with business inclination. Mark my words. You won't regret it.
PLEASE HELP, 16 Nov 2014Please help me! Should I buy the q5 or lumia 735 Im on contract and they are the same price Thanks!Hey, What Recca said is correct understand your need first.
Above all you need first ask yourself what you want to do with the phone use it for taking pics from time 2 time enjoy some games and watch movies on a large screen.
Please understand that Blackberry devices are know among business users and those who love the physical qwerty keypad, as typing on a screen can get cumbersome when typing long emails. On the contrary, having been a window mobile user, myself for a good 6years I know for sure all the WM8 devices have a beautiful and very accurate typing experience when compared to android devices.
If your between the age group of 18 to 24 you'd find large screen device more attractive when compared to qwerty devices because you tend to play games, watch movies and click snap, and download lot of fancy applications to try on that large screen. But if you feel you download lot of apps play lot of games and plan to read a lot of stuff on the web I recommend you buy the Nokia 735.
Why: Blackberry Devices are not know for their marketplace, due lack of fancy applications which android or WM market has to offer. Second since the screen size of the BB Q5 is 720x720 square screen not all android application run well on the Q5.
McQueen, 19 Nov 2014Does it run android apps?Yes it does. But a gentle reminder: some apps may behave that won't reach your expectations since BlackBerry OS is quite from Android.

PLEASE HELP, 16 Nov 2014Please help me! Should I buy the q5 or lumia 735 Im on contract and they are the same price Thanks! My friendly advise is to weigh-in everything. Try to ask yourself this questions and I guarantee you will have your answer of your choice.
1. Which of these two phones will give my satisfaction as a mobile user?
2. Am I comfortable with a physical QWERTY pad or a touchscreen keys?
3. Which of these phones has a higher positive feedbacks in terms of performance based on credible source?
4. In surfing the net, does screen size matters to you? Definitely you prefer the wider screen.
5. Am I comfortable with the traditional screen swipe gesture or I love to explore new gesture / swiping command?
6. Are the phones both reasonable for their price and specifications? Which phone answers my true qualifications for a new mobile phone?
7. Lastly, do I have previous experience whether good or bad from the same manufacturer of my preferred unit? What are those experience.
After answering all of these, I am very sure you will come up to your choice.
Good luck with the phone and have a good day!

mahdi hasan nahian, 14 Nov 2014How did you updated to 10.1.3?
My phone shows that already updated to latest version 10.1.2Its a beta version and not the final version by Blackberry, I suggest you wait for the official update from blackberry.
It has a lot of glitches and bugs.

Sushi Majesty, 13 Nov 2014You'll be surprised with the endurance, apparently I get much better battery life with the 10.... moreGreat!
Yes. Surfing the net video playbacks is a common cause of heat up especially in a multi-tasking event. My friendly advise is to close multiple screen for phone care and energy saving.Let's remember our phone is not made of ultrastrength material but rather semiconductor materials and some of them are too fragile.
Can't wait to see the update.
recca, 12 Nov 2014I have the 10.2.1.3062 update.
You are perfectly correct.

Yes the phone back panel does heat up that only when you surfing the net or when you use the video camera for recording.

You are perfectly correct.
Camera performance plunged down. But for sure, an update will come with a good fix on the bugs. Hopefully the updates won't give headaches on our Q5 performance.
One thing that excites me is the update what you have said. Pinch to zoom in zoom out video playbacks. Let's wait and see!
But there is a minor loophole I foresee if the long awaited update will come especially on the hardware performance. Faster phone performance has a tendency to heat up during multitasking and surfing the net. As a result, battery life and endurance wont last that much. This is true for all mobile phones. Processor along with the board generates heat and Q5 and the other phones has no built-in cooling system. Add the fact that our phone is compact and have non-removeable battery.
Thanks buddy for sharing! Have a good day.

I can't wait to see the final 10.1.3 official update from blackberry. What version of the OS do you have running on your q5?
