brilliant phone. has all the nessesary features which are easy to use especially if you not office bound but need to be on top of your game... definitly a good buy!!

If you want to frustrate yourself into the ground, get the Storm II.
It freezes on a regular basis, it takes up to 10 minutes to reboot the phone, signal reception is terrible and the keys stop working sporadically - which then requires another 10 minute reboot to recover.

i love the touch screen feedback, i have used other touch screen phones and i feel better with the click click of this BB.
some will not like it because feels like pushing a button, but some of us never liked the touch screen ideas anyway.
so the click may just be a reassurance that there is still a button somewhere. can any app help me disconnect this auto screen rotate? RIM missed the boat there!

They keep telling me there is absolutely nothing wrong with that waste of technology. I really don't know what more to do and i cant get hold of anyone from Blackberry either!

this phone is a huge failure even though its the (storm 2) second build of storm 1 , the piezo-electric touch feedback system is not a technology everyone will accept out of a touch screen phone , even though instead of the single sensor under the screen of storm 1 this storm 2 model got 4 sensors on each corners of the screen but still its really hard to use the screen while we have to actually press down the screen to assign a command . plus when using the only multi touch capability of the phone which can be seen on texting and email for copy pasting and a few other options such as using two keys at the same time it gives a funny feeling to your fingers which make u feel like maybe the screen will crack and break into two . sometimes whenever i press a shortcut on the bottom of the screen the touch buttons of the phone gets pressed by mistake . sometimes when i answer a incoming call using the touch button it doest assign the command and the phone goes to portrait mode . the inbuilt mp3 player is having bugs even after updated to the latest firmware . and swap to change the picture wont work sometimes because the phone will start to lag . double tap to zoom in will take 4 - 5 seconds to zoom in on a web page or a picture . no pinch to zoom available at all . and the available web browser is unable to display web pages correctly and html web pages takes too much time to load up , however wap sites load up quicker . no flash support of any kind on web browser so most of the web pages getting displayed incorrectly and with missing objects . bb app center is not available in most of the countries and theres a few apps available for free on the internet . avoid the bb storm series phones this is not an advice this is a warning . get a bb with a hardware q. keyboard and it will be better . still i dont like the bb os since it got no customizing capabilities at all . these bb devices cant be called smart phones at all .

back in black - and it will make your whole life blackout . this phone is made by a genius but its a huge mechanical failure . the phone will turn into your worst nightmare . and the storm seems to be getting worst every time you touch this device . stay away from this device . don't fall for the tricky advertising campaigns of this phone . finally im glad i got rid of the storm 2 9550 . i was so ashamed to use it , and i was so ashamed to make my friends see it since they get confused over pressing the touch screen as a physical key pad .

previous owner of a storm 2 9550 , the storm 1 and storm 2 are like chains of faults and problems . i got rid of my worst nightmare (storm 2 9550) and brought a samsung galaxy s vibrant im glad i did that . the problems with the bb storm device are as shown below .
after 2-3 months usage the battery started to drain faster , when i answer a phone call for 5 mins one of the battery indicators blocks drops down each time .
the gallery is no eye candy since you cant arrange any videos to its own folders so all videos will be shown in one place .
the screen can be pushed physically and it makes your finger tired after using the on screen keyboard for a few minutes .
pushing the screen makes it hard to use when using two on screen keyboard buttons at the same time .
no pinch to zoom on pictures or on the web browser , double tap makes the phone take 5 - 6 seconds to zoom in on a picture or a web page , or it may take a longer sometimes . the swap to go to the next picture wont work and the phone will start to lag when you do it sometimes and it will take a few seconds to move to the next picture or previous picture .
no matter what connection you use either 3g or wifi still the phones web browser will take 1 - 2 mins to display a full html web page like yahoo , google or msn . only the wap sites will load quickly . the alternative web browsers available for the bb storm 2 are thunder bolt which is still full of bugs and the opera mini doesnt work as its suppose to cuz it got heavy bugs in it .
the bb app store wont work on most countries and there are a limited no. of applications available for free on the web . all the other applications needs to be brought after paying .
avoid the bb storm series at all coasts . this is a simple help for you guys looking forward to get this phone . dont ever fall for the looks of the phone . bb devices are better off with the q. hardware keypads .

What an utter piece of wasted technology. The worst experience with pathetic signal coverage. Unless you are standing right next to a phone tower it switches between sos and no signal coverage. I have returned the phone three times for exchange units with the exact same signal incompetence.
What a dissappointment every single time. From frustration I've send it back and I don't ever want a Blackberry ever again. I did not want a refund, I did not want to speak with anyone but I do share this experience with you. I went and bought a R 249 cheap model at a common store and I have excellent reception in the same spot where Blackberry could not receive signal.
There is no use for all the add-ons if the basic function of a cell phone cannot be met. Blackberry take note: its main function should be te receive and make calls. Not to play games, listen to music, playing with a million additional little time wasters. But to do the first BASIC job of making and receiving calls. Go and learn from Nokia!
You go BLACK, YOU'LL GO DARK. And ou'll never go back to Blackberry again.

Because of the business mail I had to move to BBry device, before that I was using Samsung Wave which is an awesome phone. When I started using this BBry I was really dissapointed ... talking about user unfriendly. After a while I got used to it, handling business email turned out to be pretty good. Starting to love this BBry features, but BBry store, what a ripoff. Skype of course is not free, only messanger I can use is IM+ that costs 30$ !!! It kills the whole idea. I can really get used to this phone, not bad at all, love this touch-screen, it has some flaws ... but prices at BBry store will bring this platform to it's knees.
