Does the Storm have a writing pad so a phone # or word comes on the screen like the LG Dare?

It clearrly doesn't come with Wi-Fi. I too have seen a pre-release model, plus blackberry.com doesn't give this as a spec, like they do for the Bold!

> In reply to Dan @ 2008-10-10 03:54 from xKyEThis device supports wifi i don't know what you guys are talking about i've been with some of these people that have tested this device it has wifi but it's not stable in the current blackberry software version that is currently installed on the 9500/30. Check out this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvMITVn4ILA

go to 1:10 and listen from there you'll hear the mention of wifi.

one of the reasons why i chose blackberry was because of the full qwerty keypad that made tying easy and fast. And i assume this phone doesnt have a stylus and it would only have a virtual keyboard. Meaning similar to the iphone typing would be a hastle and annoying.

But you need to call your wireless provider to make sure that the provisioning is correct at the back end for GSM Roaming.

> In reply to Dan @ 2008-10-10 03:54 from xKyEIt was corrected on this website that the BB9530 doesn't includes Wifi, this was changed after that Verizon launched the debut.

What's the point of having Wifi anyways when wireless companies offer really cheap unlimited data plans.

I feel that they have not got that right, because this is the only website I have seen that states that the Storm does not have WIFI, many other sights state 802.11 a/b/g

You can not compare BB with the iphone. NO WiFi. Yeah carriers will make some change on selling you a data service but lose out on customers who will go to the iphone. Bad deal, to bad if it had WiFi it could have been a contender.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-10-09 05:18 from jA{BOf course they can. The 8320 has it. But they probably make deals with carriers. If you don't have WiFi, then you must use the network to receive your emails. Means you must pay additional money to the carrier ! Quite logical !
I wanted to buy a BlackBerry but because of this I bought a HTC Touch that has WiFi.
