blackberry you should have put a wifi in this phone,
could have been the best today.
not all countries has a good 3g networks that is why wifi is important. if i move to asian countiries 3g is not that good. only in europe and america can stand a no wifi. but not in middle east and asia.
if you put a wifi to this phone, it could have been the best today and i can say the most complete phone today.
too bad...

hmmmmm moved up from the curve. I understand that BB needed to bring the phone out early to compete with the I phone. Why did they not try to fix the software/ i hate tapping the screen 6 times just to open my email. The phone reboots when it feels like. and in a week thats 2-3 times a day. I waited a long time for this phone and am not happy. Thank god for verizone's 30 day trial. its a life saver. Buy it after the upgrades are done july.09 maybe

How about someone who wants to access their home LAN? Like me. I am looking at this device as a replacement for my PDA AND cell phone, combining them into one device. I use my PDA on our home LAN often.

> In reply to unknown @ 2009-02-20 20:47 from LB94 - click to readI thought the same but since I bought storm and have taken vodafone service, never felt the need for wifi. I don't download music but instead load it by syncing it with Itunes on the computer through blackberry media sync. Same goes for movies which I copy directly to 16GB microsd card that I purchased separately. Till date the only thing that has let me down is its battery life. RIM should have given a powerpacked battery with this phone. I guess I shall invest in a 2600 extended battery too. Hope it clears the wifi perspective.

"It doesnt need WiFi" - Wrong, Big Time

Ever travelled? Ever wanted some real speed? Nothing compares to Wireless G or N and connecting in areas with no signal (like at conferences) or downloading/getting music on the device is a real pain without WiFi.

I'm still in shock that they'd produce a device without WiFi. Total $ grab on plans and a big reason why long-run this is a dud.
