People pays the extra buck for a 1ghz processor on a phone that software does not require a 1ghz processor. Some mobile OS may require a faster processor and it makes a difference sometimes. Anyways, blackberry been using the same 624 with 3 devices now including the new torch. Enhanced new OS 6.0 and the battery life yet is amazing. My Battery last's a whole day on my Bold 9700 6am to 11 pm, and besides the bold is still a pretty fast device. 1ghz processor = battery drain.
mobile phone retaile, 06 Aug 2010How can blackbverry even stand a chance on the SMart phone market when people are prepared to ... moreWell just because the Torch doesn't have a 1 ghz processor, does not mean it is necessarily worse. Typically, the more mhz causes the battery life to shorten. BlackBerry is almost as fast as an iPhone 4 because it doesn't have as many components as the iPhone 4 which makes it almost as fast with a little more than half the mhz. Still, the BlackBerry still has a more organized concept while the iPhone is still mainly for multimedia.
Umm, not that I'm defending the "guy who says he has 3 phones" but, I also have more than one phone. It's the beauty of having a GSM carrier. I can buy any phone I like and keep my same SIM card in it without renewing contracts or anything. Now, you ask why someone would have 3 phones, and imply that he is a drug dealer. I'm not a dealer, I currently in the interview period of a job in import/exports. I have 3 phones, just because I can and I want to. For your info, I have the 8520, SE P1i, Nokia N95 and a "lost" SE k750i from a long time ago. So, yeah.
I dont see any CPU installed in this phone.Does it only use a conventional CPU usually found in conventional Calculator ??
i am a user of nokia till 1 year back,i had used e90,e71,e72,almost all bussiness class, now i am using storm 2 there is no words to give a wrong feedback for this phone,if u are a real business handset needed person, storm is a good choice, loved this phones sure press tech,
Fantastic, always loved BB. Does anyone know about the CPU? and when it's gonna launch worldwide?
i really love blackberry so much..

gtheophi, 05 Aug 2010Would be my complete answer to what I want in a phone EXCEPT that they again missed the boat o... moreIt is HSDPA/HSUPA indeed. I let the gsmarena guys know. It just had its first software upgrade ;-))))
I'm a "CrackBerry" and a user of multiple BlackBerry devices for the past few years.
However, when I saw the device, my first reaction in terms of device was "What the ...?" was RIM thinking?
The reason for my shock was that RIM had released a very, slim, stylish and "suave" device in the Pearl 3G. In contrast, this device, though internally it has many improvements lacks the "new" or as we should say "modern" design feel. Rather the design of the device looks like one of those massive Samsung or Motorola Qwerty keyboard handsets.
Was anyone or any other "CrackBerry" alos disgusted at the physical design of the handset?
After my contract finishes with Optus (Australia), I'll probably just stick to my plan of obtaining the sleek Pearl 3G rather than this hunk of metal.
