Jon Von, 11 Jan 2011I have a question, can Blackberry Torch edit document (word, excel) or only view the document?... moreyes you can. when you open the attachment it will give you an option of viewing or editing the file.
Blackberries may not be cutting edge but they do perform reliably such as with emails and have greater security, so they are more than toys for children.
Blackberry is lucky it has bbm orelse it would be bankrupt already because of there lack of technology. RIM should be called research in slow motion. As soon as an android or iphone create a bbm type ( not an app) then it will be over
OK its time for blackberry to jump up there standards because i purchased this phone from being with a 9700 and i cant brag about the difference... All other phone companies are so updated with there products i wonder where RIM puts all there money?... in the past 5 years they did a os5 to os6.. thats pretty pathetic, so the next os7 will be in 2016?..
Make a new phone that is more than just the usual blackberry, hire a whole new Research & motion dept, maybe thats the reason why your stock jumped down more than 100$ when it was at its peak....
Theres something going wrong here, and dont get me wrong, blackberry is a great product, but if i say that 5 years ago i had my first blackberry and i dont see much of a difference, there is deffinatley a problem.
I have a question, can Blackberry Torch edit document (word, excel) or only view the document? Thanks...

After 3 days of bb torch, I wouldn't recommend you the torch, the 9700 keypad is much better than my torch, and good feel compared to torch. My friends are using the 9700.
But keep in touch, I might get use to the torch and begin to like it.
Regarding the browser I prefer my x10 be a lot better than the bb torch
i've had this phone for the last week....it's realy crappy....i prefer my Nokia 3310
Rossi, 10 Jan 2011Hey, do not edit word, ppt, pdf? Not. Do not edit. It's necessary to buy a upgrade.. so bad.
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2011Yeah if u wanna use your bb n enjoy all services u will have to take BIS.Without this service... moreHey, I did end up getting the bb servies.
I didn't remember that you also had bb, I only remembered you having the vivaz pro and you never post there anymore, plus it isn't easy to ask you anything since your always posting as Anonymous, I wonder why!
I don't like posting in the x10 forum, its a waste of time, most of the time arguments about x10 fan boys vs x10 haters.
My brief experience with my first ever bb phone.
Voice quality is second to none, thats 1 of the most important things people forget these days including me, that was 1 of the reason why I first got my x10 and now bb after over 6 years with nokias only.
The phone feels very solid, build qualityis excellent.
Keypad isn't as easy to use as my n97 but getting use to it.
Torch has already replaced my n97 as my main phone, x10 stays as my 2nd phone.
Watching youtube videos was great but not the same quality as my x10.
My 1 worry is the side chrome fade quickly.
Awesome phone..... Specailly like socail feeds app and the wap-trick browser through which u can open mutliple website through tab.!
