hi! guys i own this smart phone too, no issues till now, except the blackberry maps. It doesn't work in india i think. I tried to download google maps 4.4v, that also doesn't work. Please help if we have any other option for the maps specially for india.
haaving the keybord to type messages and the touchscreen for everythin else is awsom , the only issue i have is the battery it just doesnt last long enough find myself having the charger on the fone in the office sometimes why rim why???
Just got Torch 9800 today and took some videos and pictures. Both are not as good as N96 and the videos go out of focus when you move the phone alittle. Disapointed in this. The screen is sharp and shows alot of detail when you take a picture in good light. I am hoping the rest of the phone is as good as everyone says!
Dan dg phils, 02 Jan 2011Does this phone support video call ? Anyone pls?No it does not support video calling .. because it does not have a front camera - in fact no BB supports video calling
driver93, 04 Jan 2011anyone had battery issue ??? mine never last for a day* Setting 2G
* Setting display brightness to 10%
* Setting Backlight timeout to 10sec
Torch is big display of screen.
For ex : if you're using bigger power of lamp to light up your room. so the consumption of electricity power will be high too.
Apparently if RIM would have fitted it with a 1GHz CPU, the phone would be almost perfect...
Roelien, 03 Jan 2011The Torch's touchscreen is very sensitive - what can I do to reduce it. I've received mine today.1. You can set touchscreen sensitivity in 'option' menu
2. Buy & put on screen protector that's thicker than usual. For black torch the "anti spy" screen protector is cool, for white torch i prefer "mirror" type.
