Major weakness of this Tour 9630 is lacks of WiFi. Looking for WiFi? Just look at it's younger brother of almost the same design but under the Bold family 9650...

Ok guys, please stop all the crying and whinning about the wi-fi. Firstly, you can't do anything with blackberry just with wi-fi, you need a data plan to access Yahoo Messenger, Blackberry Messenger, Email, Facebook, etc... The only thing you can do on wi-fi itself is browse the net, however browsing the net on 3G is faster than wi-fi, so why do you cry on wi-fi? My wife is using the Bold 2 and she never used the wi-fi feature, so it's not that bad.
I've been using this BB Tour for like half a year and I'm happy about it, Blackberrys are the most elegant phone out there now together with apple's iphones. I've read so much nonsense opinions in here like comparing this phone to a nokia? OMG, Nokia phones are just too many and they are all cheap in many ways that's why their prices are like 30-50% down when a new phone is out, and that is a total rip off. To those who love Blackberry, this phone is not a bad taste. The only downfall i could see is the battery life.

> In reply to Ngoako @ 2010-10-18 11:44 from N9ej - click to readHi am on mtn and even though my internet worked fine I couldn't make any out going calls. I spend hours on the phone with mtn and went to numerous shops. Eventually I got to a shop where someone sorted it out for me. I can use my girlfriends vodacom sim and it works fine. Don't let them bullshit you. It most probably is just a setting. Just go to a couple of shops and I'm sure you'll find someone that can sort it out for you!

> In reply to Ngoako @ 2010-10-18 11:44 from N9ej - click to readSubscribe to Blackberry Internet Service BIS with your carrier and all the internet related functions will come out including the browser. You don't need the cdma funtion to access internet. If your carrier doesn't offer cdma, no problem.

Hi folks. Am not clear on the issue of this phone having a document editor. Mine has document viewer for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint only. The editor is a premium package which can be downloaded and comes with pdf but is a trial version for only one month after which you have to buy. is this same experience with everyone or just my BB 9630
