Xiaomi introduced the Mi CC9 Pro with five cameras on its back, the main one having a 108MP sensor with 1/1.33” size that does 27 MP shots with pixel-binning technology. After the launch, Xiaomi officials showed the modules of the five-cam setup, and the massive ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor.
The five cameras are the 5 MP telephoto with 5x zoom, 12 MP telephoto with 2x zoom, the ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, the 20 MP ultrawide angle shooter and the macro lens, sitting at the bottom.
Right by their side, we see a basic 8 MP f/2.0 shooter, which at one point was considered good enough for flagship devices.
With that sort of camera credentials the Mi CC9 Pro appears to be one of the hottest phones of the holiday season - you can learn more about it in our hands-on.
True, all the space they used for housing all of those 5 sensors could be perfectly used for having 2 giant sensors, like 2 Nokia 808 sized sensors that would rival pocket cameras and even DSLR's.. The design would also be visually appealing as...
Just give us 2/3 good cameras like Apple does. 1 Primary camera with OIS. 1 Ultrawide Camera and maybe a 5xTelephoto Camera with OIS. That's all we need. These 5/4 camera things are marketing gimmics.
