Hi guys!Just 1 question...anyone can tell me something about the battery life plz...thx...
Have to say, so far so good. 2nd day running the device.. very impressed with the touch response, and (like the iphone) it only responds to skin touch. Pinch for zoom on web pages, supremely customizable home screen and VERY good quality streaming videos from youtube. Camera quality is pretty good too. Very happy with this purchase. Posted from my Dell Streak :-D
No iPlayer on this model as yet - according to the BBC the phone is not supported (www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer.html). Had a play with music - was extremely slow to transfer from my Desktop (3GB RAM) to the 16GB Memory card of the phone. Sound from the speaker is louder than the iPhone but not quite as good quality wise. Through the headphones, it's equal to the iPhone/iPod Touch. Have set up my emails and it's very efficient and easy to read, although the notification bar is quite small at the top. Web browsing is superb. Screen shows much more info than the iPhone - without having to double tap to zoom in and out. All in all, very happy - but still have this niggle that the lack of support/accessories from Dell/O2 may kill this off, especially now iPhone 4 is due out...
Not bad product if you dont mind walking around with a BEAST IN YOUR POCKET!
lpaddikt, 07 Jun 2010Does this have a browser that shows the complete website or only the mobile version?it a complete html browser. that mean you can watch live streaming videos or listen to songs. this is what you can call a mini netbook but way better
oh my god just had a demo of the handset and what can i say what a piece of s##t i think ill stick with my laptop for internet use as with both you would have to use a bag to carry around, also i would look like someone off trigger happy walking around town using it....MASSIVE!!!
High spec good gadget but expect some laughs off people when you are making calls in street.....
Robbie, 09 Jun 2010Also the other thing is, this phone is not upgradable to Froyo at the moment. It will run on O... moreThis is exclusive to UK at the moment to O2 and Carphone warehouse.
Been speaking to the Dell Rep this afternoon, I have a Iphone 3GS and think highly of apple products but WOW this is a really good handset!! Fair enought its massive to hold to your face to take a call on lol but to be fair you can always use a bluetooth ear piece! There will be a few updates for the handset soon to up its memory, it's gonna be getting more app's and will have at least one million app's in a years time! Dell already have pre order from aboard! For those of you that are not interested in the phone side of things you can get this on contract for 25 pounds a month, 2 year contract for 3GB data allowence. beats them netbooks.
of you can not buy this in carphone warehouse on pay as you go hun, but you can buy it out right for 429.00 pounds.
hi i have had this phone now for about 3 days nd i absolutley love it. very impressed. however im not much of a tecci and wondering can you get bbc iplayer? many thanks
Working as a emplyee of nuclear mobile, when this phone arrived in the warehouse and i took my first look WOW what can i say it was the bomb...nothing will come close to beat this handset 2 words iphone eater..
Also the other thing is, this phone is not upgradable to Froyo at the moment. It will run on OS 1.6 till the end of this year apparently. If you are in the uk and want to buy this phone, go to o2 store as they are selling it for £399 and carphone warehouse is selling it for £429 +£20 top up
I want to tell this to everyone that it does not have internal memory of 16 GB, its a size of memory card that comes with it. Internal memory is 2GB which is hardly used by a user because it takes up most of the space to install its programs.
hello any one can told me what about touch screen
its smooth us htc hd2 or iphone
When will you guys come up with the review. I'm waiting eagerly for an insight into the gizmo. I looked out on several other sites, but your reviews are the one I trust the most.
Please grab a piece fast and get me some info.
Have just spent the last 24 hours playing with this giant phone/tablet PC! Very quick, very easy to use. Great screen - perfect for viewing internet pages/documents etc. Still to set up email etc but so far so good. The SAR rating is excellent (0.75) but noticed my signal drop occasionally yesterday. Bit disappointed with the availability of apps, and no BBC iPlayer of course, but with less restrictions than the iPhone - it's right up there. Battery life appears to be good despite hammering it with use over the 24 hours! Next test wil be music on the device and setting up ringtones etc and comparing it with my iPod Touch... So far, I'm quite happy. Would love to get my hands on the new iPhone 4 to compare like-for-like though. If your thinking of upgrading, it may be worth waiting a couple of weeks and testnig both in a shop before buying...
