First phone here also. Wasn't bad at all for it's time. In the end the speaker let me down (after fixing it twice)...

My 1st phone also. It thought me the basics, as I spent hours on it... It was my ladder, as after about 7 phones I have to say the nokia E61i is a life saver and I love it... Thanks so much for the ericsson GA628 4 giving me the directions...xxx

needs to be re-released...had this as one of my first phones....a LOT better than today's devices......Ericsson you were the best!!!

This is my first phone and tell you.. This is one of the best phone ive ever used.. Very sturdy and looks like a communication gadget... Awesome !!!

I have just start use this phone, I got one for $11 and buy a SIM card and a new battery it seems to work good. I dislike modern phones they are too small and I don't camera or all of this modern stuff. this GA628 is even better than the Nokia phone from 1996 that I had before.

i loved ericsson,my first phone was an ericsson GA628,(discarded by my brother, cause the battery wasnt available for ga628),one can still use it with 4 normal rechargeable batteries i.e 1.2 volts each connected to its internal battery terminals.it still works but only supports gsm 900. Also ericsson's could give you an excellent signal quality on just one bar network coverage,,,i was tired of using this phone,,as i had to carry it with 4 batteries, and the wiring,,,OMG...!!!! so i bought the T100, i loved it ,,,excellent phone...i still have it and its still working good,,,except that the battery now lasts just half a day,,i bought another battery but u know u get just duplicate batteries today,,they dont last long...puuuhhh.(it was knocked out in 15 days)..i still have this phone as a backup with the original battery u know,,incase i loose my current cellphone.LOL!!!..it served me for 8 years,,..still going strong and also the other GA628 ericsson..""THEY ARE A SOUVENIR ""..WILL NEVER FORGET THEM"

i have one ericsson ga628 and is in very good condition , here in romania , one of mobile network is available also in 900mhz i use in year 2010 a phone from stone-age :)) but signal and batery life is very very good (especial in subway train :D) and ring tone is just gorgeous , people who hear RINGG RINGG RINGG!!! at a very high tone ,it look at me ,"whata f&*%$* is that fire alarm noise ??" :))) i am very proud of my ericsson ga628 (also i have and a smart phone on a common number who knows every body) but this number on ga628 , only my mother father brother and 3 - 4 people know :P
