i had this phone once before and i tried washing the face of the phone from some dirt in the sink and it still worked. this phone is indeed a tuff one they dont make these nowadays, or do they? hmmm.....

Some people don't realise how rare this phone is; it's worth a lot more than you think. As I am writing this there are only two of these available on eBay UK, and they're from Hong Kong. I'm happy to say, however, I HAVE ONE OF THESE PHONES AND I LOVE IT!

This is such a tough phone,that i cant let it go!I have bought others since,but if i drop them (which i do often!)they break..so out comes old "trusty" for a while untill i get the new one fixed.This phone is obviously out dated in every department bar 1...its durability in extreme conditions to take accidental punishment like most watches cant even endure!..and for a extreme sports freak (and a plumber by day)this is the one that accompanies me on my dangerous missions.It truly is a pity they did'nt continue this breed of phone into todays level of technology.

for those still looking for r310 batt and csaing theres some place i found in jakarta (indonesi).
and the stock of the refurb phone is tons (but i dont know the quality of a refurb phone)

Bought one almost two weeks ago. After a full charge, I found that my standby time was only 62 hours, or just over two hours of talk time. (Rather low, no?) I might have to call the dealer about this.
The housing for the battery is a chore to open and close, especially when compared to its older sibling, the R250. Other than that, I like the way it looks, and it sounds good.

I have had my r310s for 5.5 years now, still with the original battery in it. Never had a problem with this phone. This must be one of the best mobiles ever made.

Fisrt of all this phone was built for tough use and not for play around camera and games. So it might be ugly but if it falls couple of times it will keep working as hell and it won't be useless as the K800i.
I used the phone for a year and the reception is exceptional. Even better than some nokias that I used.
Second, it comes with a very useful bluetooth adapter and you can use various bluetooth headsets. It also comes with a rare ICR-11 adventure kit (which I got) and it is very useful.
So an excellent phone for it's purpose !!

A pathetic attempt by the rather best company of mobiles...
(at least they made up for it with k800i which I will get for Christmas with a memory slot and I am absolutely happy about it)

this phone is absolutely cool with its unique design, especially its shark fin antenna. it's sports-fit, anti shock, dust and water. comparing with the nowadays multimedia phones, it still has strongly fantastic charm! i love it! i bought one days ago.

I sent for 2 of these about 2 months ago.They arrived after much a-do at my end (Portugal) as the carrier couldnt find my house ! had my nš but didnt think of calling until about a week after the phones arrived in the country !
Unfortunately I only started using them about 3 weeks ago;BIG problems...hardly ever had network,would turn off and on and off again without being touched,one phone would receive but not make calls,the buttons on the other had the numbers and letters smudged....anyway,I contacted the seller and sent them back .I was told I should have tried them the day they arrived.Well,I didnt know I had to do that so I guess thats my fault but they were put away in a safe plave when they arrived and I never thought they would be faulty!Hopefully they have arrived at their destination (China) or will soon and the repairs will be made or new ones will be sent to me.This time I hope they will be in perfect consdition.In the meantime I am using my VERY old one but working beautifully.The rubber on the sides is missing,no letters or numbers on the buttons but no trouble with network,calling out or anything else.May the repaired ones or news ones be as good.If not,I hope I will get my money back...or is that being a dreamer ? :)
