The T18S is a compact handset with a number of nice design touches.
The first is that the screen can be seen with the handset flip shut, which saves the need for two screens.
The second useful design feature is the active flip. You open the 'phone to answer a call, you shut it to conclude the call. This isn't rocket science, but it's an effective way of managing calls.
The third handy feature is the voice dial. This is very useful if you use the handset with a headset in the car. Actually it's vital.
It isn't perfect, though. Battery life isn't _too_ bad for its generation and size, it has an external antenna and it's quite heavy too.
My own T18S lasted for three years and two batteries before shutting down at random. After three years it wasn't worth having it repaired...

T18s is a good phone, with good audio (not excellent). Also good RF performance but, the main advantage is the size, it fits easy.
I have this phone from summer 2002 and I dont feel the need for upgrade yet :)

Had mine for about 3yrs mow. V.reliable up until now. Both original and spare batteries pretty useless now. Not as good a receiving signals in wk reception areas. Both battery charger and head set connections and connectors wear badly with time, Have had to change both sets on my phone. Holds its own in the pack evn after this time. Peformance has been good

T18s is a good and practical phone. Good signal, low radiation, simple menu and it fits in small pockets.

Little bit older now, but great phone. Not too big. Appearance stays good because buttons and screen are well protected. After usage of +/- 3 years the battery gives several problems, lifetime and receiving fails because of bad contact between batt. and phone. Bit heavy maybe, nice looks. For no nonsense callers. No sms, cuz the buttons too are small. If you want a "phone to phone" then you'll certainly love this one.
