I have used it for some 10 years now. Only now I replaced the battery. It has survived drops to the floor, intensive professional use and still offers crisp sound and easy handling. No OS that may be infected. Once every 3 months it requires a restart. This is the best phone i've ever seen and still better than what's sold today. If you don't need or dislike dodgy functions, but primalrily use SMS and phone, just buy this one second hand and keep it forever.

Last year i wrote a comment about my sweet T39m who suddenly dyed without explication, and few months ago when i was searchin something up to my closet,i found it,and drop him down. Then i press the red button and...surprise ON.Since then i use it again, maibe with even more pleasure keep him with me as a jewerly...almost.For those who have the same problem as i do,try my method, and who knows?Aniway,if it's broken, you ain't nothing to lose.See ya!

> In reply to Meike @ 2009-02-06 23:54 from mRQC - click to readI'd say better than IPhone 3G, for a start the bluetooth is probably more advanced and it just does the job better than current day computer phones, which is to perform the basic function of making a call. Now I normally don't root for older classics, but this one is flawless and makes me just miss the old days when a mobile was a mobile. The future is scary, Phones are becoming multi functional computers that will render MP3 players/Dictaphones/laptops/cameras obsolete. Probably not for another 10 years, but the tech is scary. I miss the old times!

Today I've posted a feedback on Ericsson.com web-site with an asking to reborn production of Ericssons: t28, t39, r320, r380, r320.

I wrote there about popularity these models here in Russian Federation.

I think if you guys and madams leave your feedbacks on Ericsson.com as i did, may be Ericsson will produce these models again.

Best,

I used this phone 5 years back. i loved it so much. Just 2 years back this model came back reconditioned. i used it until it got stolen. And a few days back i went through markets, hundreds of shops to go look for it. It vansihed from the market. i would pay good money to get this phone back, thats how good i think this phone is. Its elegent, slim, amazing reception, fast menu, no problems with the flip and UNBELievable talk time , 20 frekin hours! lucky who still has this phone i miss it

> In reply to Roger Jones @ 2008-08-25 15:36 from 3a4T - click to readI'm having the same problem. Just bought a new Mondeo and it won;t link up to my car through the radio at all. Looks like it will have to be a new phone.

I love my T39m BUT it has a very old BlueTooth version and will not link with "modern" BlueTooth devices. Can anyone tell me how I can upgrade my bluetooth software ?

Unless my battery broke on my t39, I'd be using it still. Unfortunatly a new battery for t39 is as much as a new phone (I guess it has to do with availability)
