I have used the ETEN M700 for now over a year an half,

The battery is absolutely useless, the meter reads 65% and the phone dies. The software i am using is windows mobile 5.0 upgrade to supposely 6 thru eten website. I have had nothing but problems with it, Extremely disappointing,

> In reply to niass @ 2008-10-10 05:52 from YcI% - click to readtry to tap/click the power button, its just a power-saving feature of windows mobile devices. it turns off but it will still receive messages and calls. you can disable it by navigating through power settings and tap on battery power then uncheck turn off when not in use, also you may want to uncheck this option in the on external power tab so it won't power off when connected to ur pc and not in use. another way is to tap the battery indicator in the home screen and do the same thing. hope it helps! enjoy ur mobile! I have received the golfishm700 as a gift.
I have gone through all the steps of charging the battery etc. However, the phone shuts down on me after one minute and I don't know how to keep it running. It just turns off by itself.
Any suggestions?

I finally sold my Eten M700!!! I love it, but i don't really need all the applications... i bought Nokia 5610, which is currently on transit... i can't wait to have it, after 3 long years i finally bought Nokia again!!! :)

I have done the hardboot method from the manual aka een clean windows install.
Phone is working fine now.

Hey there..i wanted to know something about the alarm...i just bought the phone, and tried the alarm, but it just rings or gives a beep ONCE!!!
how can i change that and make it louder..???
could i make the alarm the sound of an mp3 song that have on my mob...?
the alarm is very imp to me, and if therez nothing that could be done, then it was a prob a idea buying it in the first place!!!

Guys,
I bought my M700 6 months ago, My phone simply does not starts up. I recharged the battery a lot of times, I did a hard reset, it worked for two minutes (it started installed somehting and showed the main screen... and they it died...any idea if this is a problem with the phone or with the battery?????
