I just got the phone. I put my tmobile sim card in but can't pick up the signal. Called tmobile tech support but can't seem to be of help. Does anyone know if this phone works with tmobile service in the US? Or do I have to upgrade to the latest firmware for it to work...Thanks. Stewart

I am quite satisfied with my M700. Never had any software crashes or hangups. You should check what softwares you install, and what softares create problems. I had problems with Pocket Mechanic and SPB Pocket Plus. I install SKTools and SPB Mobile shell, and things are working just fine.

RE: download sites for PPC apps. Go to w w w.ipmart-forum.c o m (remove spaces). You might need to register to see downloads. Scroll to the PPC section under Fun, Games etc. You'll be spoilt for choice.

i am looking to buy M700 but not sure if it's good enough for GSM att wireless. I currently own M500 which is gone bad already. Not picking up any signal recently.
any suggestion?? Will it pick up the right signal?? it's very important. I put my simcard into Nokia N73 which picks up the full bar but M500 has nothing

No, this phone is not compatible with Verizon Wireless. Verizon uses CDMA technology, and this phone uses GSM technology (SIM cards). Sorry buddy.

This mobile uses Samsung S3C2440, which in turn uses an ARM920T 32 bits RISC processor:

So this mobile phone uses a 32bits CPU.

the HTC doesn't have a keyboard...
this is a really bad point...
than the processor of 400 mhz is more important than 16 or 32 bits...

kln, anyone can google and find m700's Samsung S3C2440 400 MHz CPU is 32bit too and yes, you forgot the m700 has a slideout qwerty keyboard and has a real audio jack separate from the usb.
Of course, along with liking the "cheap" TI OMAP850 200 MHz CPU you probably like a proprietary extusb for audio when not charging or syncing, like the weaker battery and like playing with your loose screwball on the 3300 and spitting on it when gets dirty, which are cute things you will miss on the more professional m700.
