I called Eten and i was told they dont have plans of selling this phone in U.S or Europe,but the phone is being sold locally in Taiwan only,between 600-750U.S dollars and they were not willing to offer information as to how i can buy one in Taiwan.Does anyone have any information relating to this?

Just played with one from my friend's beta testing units, shipped directly from Taiwan to my friend for beta testing.
Haven't test the TV broadcast thing but the general UI is pretty slow probably because it's running on VGA screen.
I don't like the touch UI, too sensitive and I end up execute some of the programs on screen instead of flipping through pages.

Think twice, before decide for any ETEN!! Mine X800 has to be repaired under waranty and Eten wants, that I send it on MY expences to Taiwan. In such case I have also in/out (so, twice) EU CUSTOM procedure. If YOU have time... I don't and I'll just trash it.

Eten is a Chinese phone company , not sure how much it sells but here in India , same model phone (though it doesn't have the eten logo) comes for 5000 Rs == 125 $. All features are the same and works well. Since its unbranded, no guarantee or warranty. If the phone stops working, Just throw it.. Simple. But what else can you expect from a 125$ phone. But till date i haven't heard people complaining about these phones.

Well considering the picture has an antenna as long as the handset itself.. I'd say yes. .. and not to mention the actual specs say "DVB-H/DVB-T/T-DMB/DAB TV broadcast receiver"
