STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!!!!
I have warned you and I do it again!
TOO many bugs.
Do not reward companies which release half ready product on your expense!
IT will take at least a year to make this phone usable.

Did anybody buy the X800 in US TRONICS??
Is it locked or unlocked??
In their web site they do not say that it is unlocked, so I am afraid to buy it from them.
Thanks in advance.

I got my first x800 a week ago 30/11/07. Could not sent SMS, read forums on buying a new latest sim which would solve the problem. Before buying a new sim and 5 days after getting the phone my x800 crashed and could not pass the second screen (windows mobile). I went it back to get a new x800 (6/12/07). This time my old(1yr sim) was working fine and the phone would sent SMS without problems!!!! Two days after getting the new phone , it crashed also. This time it could boot fine without the battery but with the battery on it would give the same problem as the first one. Crash after windows mobile screen. All in all I love the design and preferred this phone due to the large screen. still the 64mb ram are very limitted! Consider to keep AWAY from this phone for the time being! Both phones crashed while they were disconnected from the charging device!! Building electricity had nothing to do with the phone.MAybe problematic batteries!?!? Anyway today 10/12 I returned the second new phone to be checked by the customer service of PLAISIO computers Greece. No news yet

HI. I finally have my 1st pocket pc. And its x800 eten. Here it is my obs:
- If you dont install anything, the phone is great. work just great,
- VGA is very cool but dont try to see movies on it, too slow;
- in some aplications you can see the processor is slow. But a friend of mine as a HTC and i think the slow its the same. Hoppe the next generation processors would be faster, this one just cant suport VGA :( ; so it as vga but just to internet and menus;
Dont aspect mutch of this phone in term of velocity. I have bought, iam happy but i dont need a loot of things on it. A good calendar, email sincro, pdf and word reader, and for me its ok.
Hope i coudl help any of you.
Thank

Good GPS, size, price, and VGA screen.
There were some bugs, but Eten try best to update the new ROM, X800 will be more better than before with new ROM, I feel good about this device.

Great specs, good size anfd nice screen!
BUT, too many bugs!!!!!
No HSDPA support!!! Incorrect specifications given and posted everywhere.
Very poor quality control.
By he time if ever this unit becomes relatively reliable it will be outdated.
Sorry because it is probably the best on paper right now.

The X800 has got bad press from forums like this by people who don't know how to use and troubleshoot devices. As laid out on the eten-users.eu forum, one simple tweak (increasing font cache size) dramatically improves performance of this device. The VGA screen is gorgeous, it has run everything I want it to run, and all functions work flawlessly. I don't have all the random reboots, network issues, etc. that everyone else seems to have. I think they either got the phone from an unreliable seller or just don't know much about technology.

I guess few people bought this device, there are few detailed reviews. “Glofiish” as name is absolutely not attractive for westerns, they should change the name and the case design, in rest it should be fine as set of features.

I'm very tempted by this device, but I wonder if anyone who has the deveice could answer a few questions that I have seen posted elsewhere:
1-Is it correct that you cannot actually turn off the device withouth removing the battery and the power button only puts it into "hibernate" mode?
2-Ive seen quite a few other posts suggesting that this, contrary to advertising, doesn't properly support HSDPA browsing Speeds-is this correct?
3- I have read the manual online (yes that is sad!) to see the device details and it looks like the phone charges via a charging cradle type device, I assume that this means the device does not have a mini USB socket-does it?
4-Does the GPS contain maps-if so, what regions are covered?
Thanks
