My ETEN 500 held up when working online and suddenly a call comes in. Is there any solution to this problem?

I stay in Bangalore.I have heard Eten m500 is better than o2 XDA 11. i am buying the phone on 20th, jan, 2006. please tell me if there is any service centres in bangalore.

I m using m500 in INdia with Airtel SIM Card. At the beginnig it was ok. I started to use outlook and I was sending and receiving sms and emails. Some time later i reset my m500. now i cant start an account for outlook it stop when it comes to write pop3 server names. i can receive sms but can't send. whenever i try it goes to outbox or draft box of outlook.

is there any solution for that problem????????????

Does anyone have a link url to the full spec. of this handset? I'm after particular details that don't appear in the basic spec. sheets/web pages.

for overall it is very good pocket pc phone . anyway the only drawback is difficult to get accesssories.
good perfomance and lot of utilities software provide.

M600 is amazing and actually the coolest phone in the market morethan the dopod 900 tht u can also use as weights since is so bulky. someone was asking when it will be launched in malaysia it is already hurry go grab one i am recommending it

I think the M500 is over-rated. It does not have a stand time of 200h, more like 24hr and talk time of 1 hr. You have to keep recharging all the time. The 1 year guarantee is false, at least in my home country Nigeria; you're asked to pay all the time, and even when sent for repairs you wait 3 months, no response or pay for a new one instead of replacement for fault. I have recorded a bad experience. won't touch the product for a long time to come.

Great download. Easy install. For Nair, I think you may have a defective unit... or else you're using it with SPB pocket plus 3.0 (SPB has acknowledged issues with safe mode and is working on a patch). I've hadmyunit for a few months now... not one lockup or restart. Smooth sailing so far. I'd get your unit checked out bro... this is one GREAT piece of hardware.

This is the most troublesome phone I have ever gotten. There is some problem with the memory or something, which always results in screen freeze. This happens even when you are writing something and the everything just freezes - reset the device and it works at the speed of some XT machines of the 1980's. Buy it at your own risk.

I would appreciate knowing also where I can get a ROM upgrade for my ETEN M500 as the supplier who sold me the machine www.expansys.com does not offer support of this kind! Thanks a lot.

i have seen and touch the M600. really really cool device. As small and cute os O2 mini but with much better and cooler functions. There's GPS as well, windows mobile 5.0, blutooth, wifi...lotsa more...im waiting for it now. wonder will it launch in Malaysia or S'pore. Initially, i wanted to get an O2 mini, but now, this has really changed my mind. Cant wait for it to be launched :)

Hy all. There's a new Etan coming this december . The name is M600 it has the same features like M500 but Wi-Fi and the newer 5.0 Windows mobile. Don't care bout the plastic cover it's quite solid. Greetz

I think the phone is too thick and very heavy . The plastic also feels very cheap and fragile . I may think for best bed with HTC or dallab dp900 which is metal casing and solid.

Dear friends,

Can someone pls. tell me whether it's possible to view .PDF files with M500?
Anyway I have read reviews about lot of PPC phones in the same price range as M500 and I think it's the best considering the options and the design.So I hope to buy one in the near future hopefully.
Can anyone who is using this phone pls. write down some more specifications about this phone, like Koko has written already. Thank you !
