I've been searching everyday and have found nothing new. I'm still using my 8801 since 2005 and I can't wait to finally upgrade. They haven't brought out an update to the 8801 in the US since.
Sure it's an expensive phone, but the timeless design and durability make it outlast almost every other phone I've seen. I truly end up saving money in the end because if I had an iphone, I'd either break it or lose it. This phone looks too nice for it to ever leave my sights.

Anyways, I emailed Nokia a few weeks ago and they basically said to wait and keep looking at their website for an announcement.
At least it was some acknowledgment that the phone exists.

I just used their website's customer support section to send them the question and I received a reply a few days later.

Hi Shellshock.
Myself Jessica from United States, I had searched a lot after gsmarena has posted a comment on the forum, but I wasn't able to get any useful information regarding that Nokia Erdos. I am using Nokia 6500 slider, It has better sound quality and camera, but now I am looking to upgrade it. So, If anyone get any information regarding Nokia Erdos,please do reply me.
