I have a Gsmart i300 that has recently been bricked. Gigabyte would not repair it and claimed "water damage" although it is not water damage and the device still powers on. Anybody know a good service center in the United States that does repair on these devices? Or Anywhere for that matter... desperate

I have owned this phone for almost a year and have been very happy with it.

Though it was not marketed to the US, it has worked flawlessly here. I just need to manually configure sms settings to recieve texts.

My phone shipped with a second battery, so that may alleviate some concerns, although I have been pleased with battery life while using it.

Battery life is reasonable considering how much I have used it.

Nice assortment of Phone apps, bt I had to provide my own GPS software. Currently running mioMap off an SD card.

Are we getting free WM 6.1 with this phone? It's only a year old. I'm assuming we do.

If you are an owner of PDA, battery would be problem all the time. The problem is related to the excess usage of phone. I am sure that Most of the owners of this phone use the specifications of the phone frequently which is the mainly reason why the battery is being off. I agree that this phone is needed an extended battery but before that you should be careful about your usage.
This is a great phone with its specifications and day by day I find new features.

Does it works, really? I live in Brazil and don't know they can post it to me. Anyway, these are the best news about the model i300. 920mAh is a joke!

Don't buy this phone! battery life is half a day and support is not working at all. I'm writing them every month with a simple question 'Where to buy an extended battery?' and still no answer for 8 months. Is this normal for a brand like Gigabyte? I don't think so. Nor I nor someone from my fiends will never buy thing with brand G****.

if someone has wm5 please check this, go take some pics in bright daylight when its sunny, tell me if your 2nd picture and afterwards are over exposed... because im not sure if its a i300 thing or wm6 thing, compare the pics anyway... but for me its really bad, i have to close the app and open it again and take a pic to get a normal exposure :( maybe its some setting?

It won't work. Check out the pics of that battery and compare with your i300 battery. They are different.

^^^ Go to ebay and search for Gigabyte i300 battery, they have the 02 battery, which some people say fit the i300. It's 1300mah!

I ended up selling my i300. It's an awesome phone, but the battery life issue was just too much for me. I need a reliable phone. Now it's back to my HW6515 until I find something better. HTC is coming out with a lot of great phones in the next few months.

i have no clue were you can get a 1300 battery, all i know is that they made the i350 to replace the i300 i bet, and it has the 1300 batery, though the case does not look the same so cant swap them... which is sad, i do agree i wish it had edge for those that might want a keyboard, think outside bluetooth works, but is not supported so you have the basic keys but not the programable function keys and what not

I have a gigabyte g-smart i300 and am trying to buy a Li-Ion 1300mAh battery for it. Can anyone please help. The original 920mAh is absolute rubbish and with minimal use will hardly last the day. ? Thanks

You're right, most people don't care. You shouldn't buy these phones with a camera being at the top of your list. You'll be disappointed.

The only down side with HTC 3600 is it doesn't have auto focus. A lot of people don't care much about that. I just like to point out the fact.

You can test how slow GPRS is on any phone. You might want to consider HTC 3600. Other model with different names are Dopod D810 or CHT 9100. That support HSPDA, 3G, Edge, buildin GPS and WM6. i300 is still a great phone but if you need edge and up. HTC 3600 would be the next best choice. CHT 9110 will soon be release in Taiwan. The price will be more than an iPhone. Which to me, is too expensive for just CPU upgrade and a little more buildin memory. I am still a happy owner of the i300 even without Edge.
