I've been using it for almost a month. It's my first experience with a WM phone, so as everyone knows the OS is not the userfriendliest one, though plenty of software on the net. Aside from that... the phone's strong features (imho) are: looks, build quality, UI, dimensions & weight, display. The main shortcomings (at least for me) are: battery time, lack of 3.5 mm audio jack, camera (both usability and picture quality are not the best on the market), vibration and ringing volume is below average - it's quite easy to miss a call being even not in a very noisy environment (maybe trying other ringing melodies will help, haven't mood for that yet :)). What else... by far it's been stable - been no rebootings or freezes, though i've not been into installing or other heavy loading that much. However, the CPU speed is far from perfect, it's ok but I wouldn't complain if it was a bit faster. Telephony's been ok.

Good specs...it'll probably be cheaper than the 3G iPhone.

I think it looks great. This is the most pocketable high-end phone at the moment. I want one!

It has a minimum of controls and the surface is dominated by the screen. Rounded edges and a thin design without compromising on specifications.

Gigabyte is not a bad brand in the world of PCs, of course they follow the trend, I think it's gonna be a cool smartphone.

Looks like Gigabyte released new stats at Computex: 288Mb of RAM, 512Mb of ROM. Plus they're saying this phone will be out by the end of the month!

This would be the perfect WinMo phone, if not for the low RAM.

Why is there always something that makes a new phone short of perfect? This one is perfect in size and features - I completely adore the form factor and it even has 3,5 mm jack. But only 128 mb RAM?!?

What's the problem, Gigabyte? Make your phone better than the competition! You got something real good here, it takes so little more to make it perfect!

Also the s1224 model comes with DVB-T and DVB-H integrated tuner, with metal body acting as an antena(so no need of antena, lol!). With the same other great screen, refined WM UI and so on! Believe me I will be the first one to buy the s1224, surely ...

> In reply to Chosen One:D @ 2009-03-18 23:30 from 04UwFirst you compare it with the iphone, and then you go on to say how remarkable it is that people compare all touchscreens with the iphone... FAIL!

Well the first impression from the pictures is that it has a good screen even in direct light over it (it maybe a trick also) i saw a video the UI is quite inovative and cool.Design is shiny and looks great but it also means it's a fingerpint magnet. However everything will be clear when they launch the phone worldwide.Anyone know of a release date?

and Another thing....When They Make A TouchScreen Phone They All-ways Compare it with ""IPhone""
