> In reply to 5eifer @ 2008-11-13 15:05 from TIEh - click to read@5eifer : Go to Start > Settings > tab > Input > select from the drop-down menu Input Method > [Options] > in the next screen uncheck all the options available for the XT9 input > OK > OK > OK.
Now if you start a new SMS using the Keyboard as input device, the XT9 will be highlighted as being activated in the upper bar, but will have no effect on the text input at all (no word prediciton, no word correction, etc.)

Hi,
Just want to ask. Anybody knows how to disable the XT9 function in making SMS messages. I tried to tinker with a few times, to no luck.
Thanks in advance!

I updated the rom but no improvement at all. They have fixed the camera issues and it does pretty decent photos now.

Ok . I installed the new rm by HP. Can't see any improvement on battery life though:(. Is it possible that the battery hasn't been charged properly in the first time use (12 hours charge after complete drain).
If so, how can I fix that. Is it enough to drain the battery and charge it for 12 hours.

> In reply to bobo @ 2008-11-03 13:34 from Ss{i - click to read@bobo, @Asad - This is an official patch form HP so you can just go the www.hp.com and download whatever you need. (hint - in the field on the start page of the site, just type "iPAQ 610c" and you will be redirected successfully)
:( - Ever wondered about so many people asking for help with the obvious :(

> In reply to Simon Lee @ 2008-10-26 04:53 from uCm1 - click to read@Simon Lee - Have you re-flashed your iPAQ with the latest ROM from HP? For me it completely resolved the battery issue. Now the stand-by tyme is approx 3 days where with the original ROM it had been less than 24 hours. Three days for a PDA of this class is more than OK.

> In reply to redline @ 2008-10-22 16:05 from Ui$d - click to read@redline - unfortunately you are wrong. This is a list of compatible MicroSD cards, but these are NOT SDHC (high capacity cards). While there are a 4GB (in fact 3.81GB _NON_ SDHC) cards on the market, and almost all of them are compatible with any device, the problems emerge with the Micro SDHC cards. I suppose that you are talking about a real SDHC and not 3.81=4GB card.

I posted before on the 4GB card issue and (i think was norman sorry if i got it wrong) said that scandisk is NOT a compatible MicroSD card for the 612c. I went to the HP website and it is listed as compatible see here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizs...ID=c01475944
anyone has the same problem as I?
