There need no worries and doubts about this device. It is similar to 610c in all aspects except the keypad and screen. It runs on Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1 with a small screen and querty keyboard. This is just to make a choice for customer between the keyboard layouts.

the only bad thing about this phone is it only has 1 memory card slot, unlike the ipaq 6545.

Hp software may provide passage for hackers. See 20th Dec. 07 ZDnet article:"Every HP laptop that ships with HP Software Update, a patch utility, is vulnerable to a zero-day vulnerability that can leave the PC unbootable." Take care!

AVOID this phone at all costs. The screen is very small. How am i to browse the internet on this? This phone will make you blind tring to read the small screen. When will hp learn to make a 3.6 inch screen with windows mobile 6 in it?

I see that the phone has all the updated features we are looking for except that the screen is a bit small. Wish the screen is abt 3 inches. Other than that, I would folk out all my money for it.

I just had a phone call with a local HP office in Croatia and they're saying that it will be on the market in May 2008. Other model 610 will be available on the local market in February 2008...
Still a long time to wait, looks to me that they made a blueprint for the phone, and that it doesn't exist yet...

Looks AMAZING

Does anyone know when it will be available ?

It almost seems too good to be true, but I don't see a catch!

Plus since it's HP I'm sure it has been tested more than, say, UBiQUiO :P

this phone is as close as u can get to a future smart phone. it has a touch screen, built in GPS nav, not to mention the 3 megapixel cam. and what's really intriguing is that this is a quadband phone. need i say more? on the downside, the dimensions and thickness of the phone is what makes it gayy.. screen is a little bit small and the thickness is almost like a psp! although i think this phone is much better, performance wise, than the samsung i780.

I cannot wait for this phone to come out... it has everything love to have on a phone except the screen Res. I think that 320 x 240 is not enough... I lov my Treo 700p with 320 x 320... I use my phone a lot for web browsing and the addition 80 pixels to me makea big difference... specially because the Pal Browser does a great job in reformatting the Webpages into a nice scrolable way. I hope that he new WM6 Professional will have better than the WM5 Browser.
I thk that havinga 3MP cam with autofoucus will make me leave my 6 MP Cam at home, since onkly use the 3MP on the Camara anyway.. I jst hope tha the night shot is good enough, because most phones are not that good.. specially without areal flash.

The cool part is the GPS, I hope the map software is nice and has 3D views... and the WIFI make it complete. Hopefully the fast 520MHz CPU will make th WM6 faster, because some of the other WM5 are very slow.

Anyway does anyone know whatprice and when is going to be released?
And what operator is going to carry first? ATT or T-Mobile?
Is this phone already for sale in Euope or Asia somewhere? How much?
Thanks

Can't wait for it to hit the market. I love my 6515 (over two years) just wish it was 3g. I will still get to keep built in GPS and 3g, i'm there. I will have a funeral for the IR that I have never used, but i won't miss it. I will miss dual SD and Mini SD ports 12GB of memory between the two. I have more memory than the IPhone. But way to go HP.
