I have an iPaq hw6945, but its battery last for less than 1 day, at Stand by, with no other use! Is it normal or there might be a problem here?

Does anyone know were i can get an instruction booklet for this PDA?

I have heard rumours it can work as a toaster and washing machine using the engineer code.

Please only reply if you are German with a cow names Hanz.

Rgds

True, the backspace takes a full 1.5 seconds to reflect. Many times calls are missed while the memory is full. I love the browsing experience of the phone but these small errors are irritating. The audio quality (while talking) isnt something I am too proud of

I have had the Australian version of this PDA phone (hw6965) for almost 9 months now. It replaced a SE 910i. The HP with WM5.0 has very many features as a PDA, including GPS. However, as a phone it is very disappointing. Phone functionality is very slow and frustrating despite a relatively fast processor. HP needs to dedicate more processor power to the phone. Response to incoming calls is so slow or not at all that they are often missed. The joy stick is difficult to use and is nothing compared to the SE thumbwheel. A serious lack for a high-powered PDA is that it does not have UMTS (3G). I am thinking of going to thSE990i or whatever follows it (fast, featured and user friendly).

Did anyone see that the backspace key during phone operation is very slow? Or is it just inmy unit (6965)? Rest looks fine..I used to own 6515 and the backspace key in that works just fine.

crappy 3d mapking software included, all maps are outdated. if you want newer map, you have to buy again. support is bad. phone hangs up a lot. been bringing the phone to dealer almost every month. problems encountered, (1) notification for all appointments doesn't pop up anymore, (2) if you try to install other 3rd party programs, the phone hangs, (3)the joystick gets sticky and gets stuck often when you press/toggle it up (4) GPS hangs or doesn't get signal sometimes - no data stream (5) last time i sent to dealer, they had to send it to HP service center for board replacement. after a few days, the appointment notification doesn't pop-up anymore. i give up. phone is crappy, crappy, crappy! i wish i didn't buy this phone. FAIR WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER BUYING THIS PHONE OR YOU WILL JUST LOSE MONEY!

Cooool...yesterday I just checked the real hw6915 from the shop...ah, really looks great. It has a very proffesional, and a sexy look. it's a must ve gadget. I wanted to try it though, but I couldn't...so I just had an outside look of the phone. I still don know how it performs.
Can any one tell me more about the screen resolution and the aquare display. Any one been able to put third party applications? How about Destinator, anybody tried it?

Query about HP-iPAQ-6915/6965: Can we download and view PDF attachments over e-mail. Also, is it possible to send attachments (word, xl, ppt, pdf) through this phone?
Thank you in advance.

Question for readers, anyone know how I can get the built-in camera to work as webcam with Skype Mobile? I have installed Skype mobile software (works very well) but would appreciate any advice on how I can activate inbuilt camera to work with Skype. Have had my new iPaq for a month now, working exactly as HP says, a real pleasure to use daily although a high capacity (extended) battery is an absolute must(have ordered a 2500 mAh).

Anyone who can advise me how to solve the webcam issue, their help would be appraciated very much.

Thanks for reading this post.

Very very fragile and expensive screen! It fell from a tea table (barely 35cm height). I crack on the screen. HP service is very firm that it is user's fault, it is strictly out of varnty coverage. Result is 269USDplus VAT bill for the repair. One cannot help but think that the trick is to make money by replacing such a fragile and expensive screen. I used many other pdas so far . I dropped some too bun none so flimsy enough to break at a little more then a feet height.

I recently bought a 6915 and to my surprise after owning 2 O2s this 6915 PDA actually does what it says. Its fast, the camera is much better than the O2, BUT like anything i recomend not to load too many 3rd party apps.
You will start havving probs and software conflicts!!!

LOVE THIS PHONE
PS fantastic phone for hands free, impressed!

It comes with built-in GPS. It can also connect to Bluetooth GPS. You cant insert a GPS module unless it goes into the mini SD slot
