> In reply to crossmission @ 2012-12-17 23:58 from Sb6V - click to readThe HTC Butterfly was pulled from the UK market by the retailer, and not HTC. But, the DRIOD DNA/Butterfly/J Butterfly are available online for purchase, and most of them (Butterfly/J Butterfly) are carrier unlocked phones.
You have to know that HTC does not sell the devices but it's dependent on weather or not a carrier/retailer will take in the phone to sell it. I am in Canada and none of the Carriers here will take in such a device at the moment, and I realize that it is really not HTC's fault lol.

Yep, typical HTC, just read that the butterfly is not coming to Europe, only china for the time being, so either the DLX is going to be the EU variant or we're just being scrued over by HTC, again!

Enough with the battery issue! It so frustrating when people demand for a bigger and heavier battery than to have a perfectly engineered battery efficient phone. People always go blind about the milestones HTC have been achieving in the past years.

Galaxy S3 has 2100mAh battery with 50 hour endurance rating.

HTC have been always changing their flagship to match their greatest competitor.

1. One X has 1800mAh battery with 39 hour endurance rating.
2. One X+ has 2100mAh battery with 44hour endurance rating.
3. Droid DNA (butterfly) has 2020mAh battery with 49 hour endurance rating.

the Droid DNA (US ver. of butterfly) still manage to match the power endurance of SGS3 despite using a more powerful processor, more ram, more power hungry screen (LCD eat more power than AMOLED), and powers 65% more pixels.

\See the trend HTC have made in modifying their flagships to match up their greatest competitor SGS3 and they are making a significant progress unlike Samsung who keeps putting up big and heavy batteries to hype the spec numbers. HTC go for the opposite ( and true technological advancements ) Smaller battery more power efficient. Go Samsung if you want to carry a rock in your pocket :P

the HTC J Butterfly is a waterproof phone. Not just simple watterproof but even against water jets. I don't know if the global version is.
