Can any1 plz help me out, i was thinkin of getting HTC Desire & now we have HTC Desire HD,which one should i go for.is it worth to spen little more money ang get DHD or Desire is a better option.
I have had the Desire since May last year. I bought this after doing research on it ,the IPhone and the SE X10, and have no regrets. Yes, battery life is not very good compared to a "standard" phone but for a smartphone I would say having to charge once a day is normal. The Desire's screen, build quality, the UI, available apps, internet browsing, music player are all excellent. There is no such thing yet as the perfect phone - they all have relative strengths and weaknesses. This phone does everything I need very well, and it is much cheaper than the iPhone. Enough said, for now....

[deleted post]hi,man.. I suggest you to buy desire with no doubt..
cause it has 1G cpu with LED pad..
I have no overheating problems with my Desire. As for Motorola Milestone, I advise you not to buy it as my sister regretted after buying it. It kept on hanging and rebooting that she wanted to throw the phone out of the window.

Beats the iphone anyway. Secondly does anyone know if the Desire can read an .AVI file? Ive been looking into it but havent been able to find any information either way....

But if the desire can't last with a 1GHZ processor so they failed because according to my research the overheating issues turned into bigger issues like rebooting and freezing... So they shouln't upgrade to a level they are not sure of or tested 100%. Because overheating is unstandable and the battery is also unacceptable using internet or not the battery should at least live for more than one day and to become that hot is too way down for me. So plz don't make your self that you know this phone ok because I tried it and I researched it,it didn't suceeded.

Not only mobile phones, but police radios, citizen band radios and Broadband Cable Modems, one of which I used to own for years, the old SurfBoard 510. Sadly I had to stop using it, not because it broke down but because my Broadband provider stopped supporting it and sent me a cheapo Ambit thing to use instead.
I'll have a look into the Milestone, as I'm sure it will be very good given Motorola's reputation for quality.
