it's one of the finest and the best handsets HTC has ever produced, i believe. its 1 GHz processor with android 2.2 rules out every other phone of its class. i have been using this one for almost 3 years now, it works incredibly smooth and turned out to be a true smartphone. its optical trackball is very useful. its battery life is exceptionally long.

Worst piece of technology made. It is slow, the battery life is atrocious and its data is unreliable at best. I went back to my beat up blackberry from three years ago rather than use this pile for another day!

My LED Flash does not seem to be working, though I wonder if it's a problem with my internal settings as I have not dropped or damaged the phone yet and it has been like this since purchased. The flash use to randomly go off, supposedly for notifications. Though whenever I try to use it with the camera with flash on "auto" or "on" it does not work, nor does it work with the flash light application. Please help!

hey guys i have htc desire its working fine,and i downloaded temple run OZ for it its working fine too but the problem is that when i play this game after 3-5 minutes it warms in the end of the phone i read that this is normal for this phone is it true.? could it harm my phone are is it just normal.? pleeaseee help mee guyz

Guys, WiFi does not work on my Desire anymore. I used it be4 bt now just says problem with network even though others can connect. any advice? thanks

Before you can install you need to get root so use this rooting tool:

You will lose all phone data and settings so use whatever backup facilities each app will support. The contents of your SD card are unlikely to be wiped but a good idea to back up any data here too.
When new ROM installed you will need to set a default install location (Google this command) so apps install by default to SD card.
Remember that the reason these alternative ROMs work with less memory is that they omit some of the 'unnecessary' stock apps and Google apps - you will have to reinstall what is important to you.
