Proxim... moreThanks for the responses.. I have today ordered this phone and it possibly will be in my hand within 3 weeks (as announced officially 1st week of April). Really impressed from its features and/capabilities. Before I was undecided and frown on Android, hence focused mostly on WM, namely HD2 as it was(is) the only WM phone with capacitive touchscreen and 1GHz processor, however its price is still on a pretty high level and seems this will not change within short; subscriptions on a 24 months contract means that minimal cost exceeds 1000€; not affordable nor worthy from my point of view. When HTC Desire announced by my current GSM/3G operator and I went through the specifications of this device, also checked out to get a clear opinion on "where the android world is at the moment" decided to get it immediately.
Now just wondering if its native browser supports flash like as it is in skyfire (as far as I know skyfire has no plan to make its android version) and if it has a flash-player for streaming videos. If yes, then this device is -almost- perfect!
RG, 14 Mar 2010ive noticed that people are having so much problems with the nexus one, checkout their forum. ... moreI have Nexus One for more than one month and have no problem what so ever with this phone.
It seems like Large size X10 which is now late for months in market is nothing to talk about but just phone in past. it seems like you should of go back to your room SE.
ive noticed that people are having so much problems with the nexus one, checkout their forum. www.nexusone.net/forum. problems such as, touch screen issues, Dropped calls, connectivity issues (a huge problem with nexus one), i really hope that the desire will be from all these problems, or else the Xperia X10 would be another choice.. =S
ilhannn, 13 Mar 2010Does anybody know whether this device has ambient light sensor, or not(?) it is not mentioned ... moreThe java bit means it doesn't come with java support but you can get a 3rd party app. that will allow you too
rg, 13 Mar 2010Guys, im living in Indonesia, and the only way to get a hold of this beauty is thru pre-order,... moreThis phone is not release yet. But if you're from Indonesia, you can try to pre-order it in every SelularShop store. Becoz SelularShop is the main dealer for HTC in Indonesia.

Ambient light sensor
For java I'm not sure but it does support Adobe flash.
Does anybody know whether this device has ambient light sensor, or not(?) it is not mentioned in GSM Arena specs, also what is meant with "Java: via 3rd party application" (?) Thx in advance

Where did you puchase the SD card? Sounds like a good price and I could do with ordering one.
this is a real iphone killer!!
waiting for it impatiently!!
I love HTC.. they r the best!!
A Secondary camera and a Video Call app will be fine addition to the spec.
Furien, 12 Mar 2010I have been comparing lots of mobile the last few months and I finaly choose the desire pre-or... moreJust like you. after reading and watching bunch of video review. I found myself this phone that really suites my needs.. And im pretty sure im gonna buy this... I am very exited waiting for its release date...
I have been comparing lots of mobile the last few months and I finaly choose the desire pre-ordered it at prepaymania for £375, the price is now up to £440 and I also got a 16Gb micro SD card from another website for £20.
I was hesitating betwing the HD2 but apparently not upgardable to Windows phone 7 and also according several Post the HD2 battery life was not that great, so I decided to give a go with Android HTC desire hoping that the battery life will last a couple of day without charging it.
Finger Crossed that it will really support the DivX Xvid and record video at 720p 30fps.
Again I'm not sure that it is the best phone (to be awkward I didn't want an Iphone as most of poeple has), but certainly one of the best today.
rg, 12 Mar 2010Guys, im living in Indonesia, and the only way to get a hold of this beauty is thru pre-order,... moreExpansys is good and reliable. Quite expensive, though. If you can wait for another month after it's released, I'm pretty sure you can get it for USD100 cheaper (and that's off street price, not Expansys price, which is almost always more expensive).
