wierd phone i have ever seen in my life
bad quality camera
never go for this
it is better to buy micromax
hi Guys, its very confusing when we see reviews one after the other pop up contradicting each other. so what i did was to buy this phone rather than waiting for more reviews (Htc desire 826 from ebay), and here are the honest review from based on usage:
1. if you were a windows phone user previously and if you move on to any android set especially this one, it will disappoint you to a great extend with respect to battery life. hardly 14 hours with single sim usage. even on usual phone calls and texting. after you spend money, keeping in mind to use other net based apps also.
2. no hanging so far, but this device gets heated up rapidly. now i am used to such heating issues, which makes me feel that the phone is not getting heated up like earlier.
3. camera quality is good.
4. in sunlight screen display quality is worse. the 820 has better sunlight readability than this one. compared to Lumia 720 the display in sunlight is poorer.
5. good looks.
6. over all : 60% disappointment.
This is my second review of HTC Desire 826 Dual Sim. Purchase on 27.04.2015. I am satisfied. Signal reception Quality 10/10. You can talk even in the 1 bar without disruption and disconnection. Camera - O.K. do not compare to Professional Camera viz. Digital SLR. Battery - Work for full day with single SIM on Battery saving mode for moderate users. Internet Speed - Excellent 10/10. Games - play all kind of games without any fuss, Multi tasking - Yes 9/10, Heat - I have not faced any excessive heating issue (All phones heat-up, specially if you are running lolipop on 32 bit chip) ; Appearance - I like it the way it feel when you hold the phone ; Screen resolution - 9/10 (good) - no issue at all - no strain on eyes - you can watch videos for hours. Whatelse - Everything is good. Diehard Samsung and Apple users kindly execuse. This phone is not for you. You may find fault in all other phones except Samsung and Apple.
I m thinking to buy a htc 826
but worried abt battry life nd is there any problm for using dual sim.
I m currntly using grand neo nd its sucks bcoz of netwrk problm sim automatically goes on emergency nd I need to restart evry time :/

bhargav, 29 Apr 2015hello... waht abt camera cleratiy and screen resoluation....?? give me clear feedback plsThe problem with us - we wanted to use mobile as camera and we expect mobile facility in camera. You will enjoy life more in case you allow camera to do its work and mobile its own work. Signal reception quality is excellent. Camera is acceptable, if you are not comparing it with digital SLR camera, battery on saving mode will work for full day, display and touch is good. Internet browsing speed is far better that Sony z ultra, Nokia or other phone with similar CPU snapdragon 400 and 800. RAM is sufficient to run all kind of games. Display is very good. When you pick the phone - feeling is good. What else you expect from a phone. Regarding heating - there is no issue if you keep closing windows periodically. My priority was signal reception at even a one signal and I am getting it.
ruh, 29 Apr 2015Dear go for samsung a7 coz thr is no lagging nd heating prblm plus it looks decent...go for a7Galaxy a7 has equivalent heating issues to desire 826. None of the phones run cool, but neither go to hot to use.
Plus lack of lollipop on a7 hampers its performance and the same is shown in the benchmark scores where it lags behind desire 826.
On a7 you get an amoled display which produces better colours and is a bit brighter maybe but is of low pixel density so reading small text etc will strain your eyes, whereas on d826 you get a full hd ips display, which has perfect clarity and viewing angles, but lower contrast ratio and black level.
Camera on desire 826 is better than on galaxy a7. No question about it. And the stereo boomsound speakers will provide an amazing sound experience, and also make calls clearer in noisy places. Integrated dolby engine also improves earphone sound quality.
On the a7 you get a metal strip, not a complete metal build, but the same old samsung design. Desire 826 had a nice new look with some eye catching color options which makes it a head turner.
Desire 826 supports the cool dot view case. No such accessories with a7.
Considering the reputation of samsung with software updates, a7 might not be getting a lollipop update soon. Thus it doesn't have anything but the metal borders to try justify the extra 6000 bucks. Desire 826 is definitely the better option.
It's me...., 28 Apr 2015hi I too wanted to buy the 820 later I saw 826 ! Also Sam.. A7! So I got f....dam... Confused ... moreDear go for samsung a7 coz thr is no lagging nd heating prblm plus it looks decent...go for a7
internal memory 16gb but available only in 8gb..some times hanging and heating also..so dont puechase this model
waht abt camera cleratiy and screen resoluation....??
give me clear feedback
I have bought HTC 826 Dual Sim on 27.04.2015. First appearance - phone build quality is good. All other things are normal as per the expectation. One quality which make this phone different from other is Signal Reception Quality. I have used Sony Z Ultra, Nokia 730. The place where I sit receive only 1 signal bar of Airtel. I have faced difficulties in talking with Sony Z Ultra, and Nokia. However, to me surprise, HTC 826 have a very good signal reception quality. Voice Is Clear, Hearing is Clear.
Vinititu, 29 Apr 2015I think there is a big hug and cry on phone battery, screen & over heating
battery life: ... moreDude can you give a rough idea of the amount of heat it gives while playing games. And does it heats while watching movies or listening songs,is it bulky as gsmarena says it 183gm.
I'm damn confused due to the mixed reviews about this phone.I was planning to buy zenfone 2 but due its high demands its not available mi4 and oneplusone are good options but they don't look reliable.
Thanks in advance.
The more i read these comments it gets more confusing whether to buy this model. One says its bad and next some1 says its gud then again some1 says its not gud.
Even the experts hav not given tht grt. feedback for this model.
Can any1 giv a final judgement on this?

I think there is a big hug and cry on phone battery, screen & over heating
battery life: today at 7 am the battery was 100% now at 11.50 it is 90%. it gives me full day period. standard for most android phones I guess
Screen: it is awesome, sunlight visibility is decent I have seen worse
Over Heating: Yes while charging or gaming but nothing which should worry
I think it is a great phone for professional use with moderate gaming, great media consumption device. The design will give tough competition to high end flagships. The UI experience is very very smooth. Does not lag at all.
I think with time HTC will fix some of these small niggles by software updates. I think the phone is worth you hard earned money. If you are really looking for a gaming device look at Zenfone or One plus One (if you only use one sim).
