how to setup 3g on HTC desire HD... i av done all could but all i recieve is edge..please help meto fix it

pals. if I want to on my portable hotspot while the network is on, this is the notification I see" TO ACTIVE HOTSPOT ON THIS DEVICE VISIT att.com/wireless or call 611" but if I put off the network hotspot will on. I've visited the address but it seems is only for those in the US. Pls help u can reach me on adanike10@gmail.com.

I received it as a Wifi only without a carrier plan so i cant use specific apps like GPS

Pros: Great overall phone with cool customizability. Nice 8mp camera and smooth and fast internet speeds.

Cons: Quite bulky and a bit heavy

i hate the phone,its lacking alot of features,it can not be upgrade to v4 ice cream sandwich.And the network is very slow.
